I'm sure there's not a guy out there who doesn't have some body hair that he wants to trim or just shave off and that's where the Norelco/Philips Bodygroom BG2020 Electric Shaver comes in handy. This inexpensive razor and shaver lets you shave close to the skin for a smooth feeling or with its attachments, trim your body hair to various lengths.

While I don't think it's perfect, I've found the Bodygroom to be good for basic grooming. I also like that it's rechargeable so I don't have to worry about electric cords and that I can use it in the shower or when I'm dry since it works in both places.

There aren't too many details to this razor. There is the traditional razor head in the middle that will shave you right down to your skin and provide a fairly smooth cut and then on either side of the razor are more traditional clippers that will cut whatever hair your grooming basically to just above skin level. There are several attachments of varying lengths that let you take advantage of the clippers and lets you trim your body hair to various lengths instead of just cutting it off.

The Bodygroom is a rechargeable razor and I've never had it run out of juice on me when I've been using it. I just generally keep it on the charger and then use it for several minutes. The Bodygroom can also be used either dry or in the shower.

I really like the trimmer part of the Bodygroom and think it works really well. The razor part on the other hand works, but sometimes you've have to go over an area multiple times to get a smooth cut. I don't think it's the end of the world since I didn't expect to get a great razor with something that only cost about $40 when I bought it. I've been using the Bodygroom for a while and haven't had a problem with any power loss. Besides some general cleaning, I haven't had any maintenance issues either.

My Take

I can't say it's the best razor I've ever had, but it does what it's supposed to and the clipper portion of the razor is great. The Bodygroom does make trimming and shaving your body hair easy and fairly quick and I would say that if you're looking for a relatively inexpensive razor and hair trimmer for body hair grooming, the Philips Bodygroom BG2020 Electric Shaver is a good choice.
