Although I rarely shop at Nordstrom's since there isn't one close by I do have a Nordstrom card for the coupons alone. Nordstroms also offers a rewards program where you get a $20 Nordstroms Note (gift card) every time you reach 2,000 points. I have yet to receive one since I hardly ever shop there but it's good to know that it's an option. The other thing I really love is the alterations reimbursement. If I need a fancy dress for a special occasion I usually make the trip and purchase it at Nordstrom's because if you need alterations done (and I usually do for a perfect fit) you can get them done right at Nordstrom's and are then reimbursed for the cost right on your Nordstrom card! So, if you pay $20 to have something altered then you get a $20 credit right back on your bill! So it's basically free alterations if you pay with your Nortdstrom card! This, along wit the coupons, is the main reason I have the card even though I don't use it often. If you have the basic level you get up to $100 in alterations a year which is more than enough for the one or two times a year that I buy something that needs to be altered. But, why pay for alterations elsewhere when you can get them done right at the store and for free?

I've had my Nordstrom card for probably about 6 years now, and have been a loyal Nordstrom customer much longer. This is definitely a company that I have no reservations about doing business with. The only downfall is a somewhat high interest rate (but that's also what I get for not paying it in full), otherwise I have nothing but great things to say about this company. I was going to make a payment and had my card number and payment stolen out of the mail. I called them to inform them of what had happened right away and they were great about acting quickly to put a freeze on my card and promptly sent me out a new card. While I did still have to make my payment (for a second time at that rate), I was not surprised by having to pay it twice. Either way, however, I was pleasantly surprised with their quick actions and the manner in which I felt they dealt with their customers and any issues with fraudulence were handled swiftly. It's also nice that it's linked to a rewards system, so the more money you spend, the more you save and they offer lots of bonus days and other offers to help you earn money back quicker. Other than the interest rate, it's a no-brainer for me! Customer Service No complaints, a courteous company to do business with and you can actually feel that they value their customers. I live near a town that was recently hit with some disastrous tornadoes, and the very next day I had received a letter in the mail letting me know that if any payment plans or any payments could not be made at that time, that something could be worked out. It really is refreshing to feel that to some companies, you are still more than just money in their hands. Available Rates The rates really aren't too bad, you just need to try to pay it off in full to avoid a bit of a higher interest rate. If you can pay it in full, I'd highly recommend it.

I will never shop Nordstrom again. They will not see one penny from me. I have been a customer for over 15 years and have dealt with the worst customer service ever. They just cancelled my card for no reason at all and did not tell me. I have 0 balance and have always paid on time. I just have not charged much this year and they cancelled my card. I am outraged. This is insane. My mother also told me they cancelled her account without notice for not charging a certain amount within a year. Be prepared to be screwed over. I have also had a lot of problems with their cosmetic merchandise. I have purchased many times moisturizers, make up and when I got home and opened it was used. I had to drive back 30 minuted to return. My friend used to work at Nordstrom store and said most of the returns go back on the shelf even if they are used. Eventually no one would notice. This is absolutely gross and unacceptable. This has to be the worst store to deal with. I can tell you that their greedy ways will catch up to them. Check your merchandise before you leave the store it might be used and if you do not charge a bunch in this economy they will cancel your card without notifying you. I will never again spend a penny to make some corporate shmuck money. The Nordstrom card is one of my favorite retail store cards. I have many different credit cards and this is definitely one of my favorites. For starters there is no annual fee, you earn nordstrom notes certificates when you have earned enough points, the customer service representatives are all very friendly and accomodating and they are liberal with their credit line. Also, at my particular Nordstrom, that is located in a mall with a parking garage, they validate parking for all Nordstrom card holders.  Since Nordstrom is hands down my favorite department store, it only makes sense to have the best credit card to go with it.
