The NordicTrack C2500 is a great treadmill. We have had for a year. We did have a problem with the steel frame-it cracked near one of the braces on the left side of the belt. Both the motor and frame have a lifetime warranty, and we bought the service plan from Sears. Once our frame cracked, we called customer service, provided them with warranty and reciept info, and in 4 weeks they sent us a completely new treadmill! It was great.
Some Pros:
-adjustable firmness on the deck: you can make it softer or harder, and you can really tell the difference from softest to hardest!
-speed goes up to 12mph, incline to 12%, instead of just 10 mph and 10% like many other models.
-one button touch for speed and incline increases-either by choosing the whole number speed/incline, or by incrimenting up via arrow keys
-giant display with several options to view different combinations of speed, heart rate, distance, etc. You can even race against built in characters.
-lots of built in programs. you can also buy chips to plug in for additional programs tailored to what your goals are (weight loss, endurance, etc)
-built in speakers and controls
Cons:
-MP3 player controls were tricky, and are tailored to Ipods. We could not get the IPod controlled through the treadmill button.
-additional program chips are $30+ a piece.
