The nordic track EXP1000i has been a great treadmill, I've had mine for five years and I use it at least three times a week, the nordic track is still going strong, the only thing I have had to do is adjust the tread belt other then that it has been virtually maintenance free. The nordic track has ten speeds, from real slow of one mile per hour all the way up to running at ten miles per hour, the multible incline position from zero to six gives you an added calorie burning workout, it also has five pre-program workouts, beginner one, beginner two, these first two are what you would want to start with if you are just getting into exercising, then comes canyon run, a steady pace mostly low incline, then comes gorge trail and mountain trail, these two are brutal, so be up to the challenge when you start these. The Nordic Track EXP 1000i also records your age and weight and calculates how many calories you are burning, it tracks the speed you are going at and how long it will take to do a mile, it has a light simulated track so you can watch how you progress around the track, you can speed it up or slow it down with a push of a button and you don't have to stop it or get off while you adjust the speed and/or incline. Other  than a few scuff marks my nordic track EXP1000i still looks new, I've used cheaper treadmills in the past and they wore out in no time, my nordic track was a little pricey, but it has lasted and is still going strong, I reccomend the nordic track great deal for the money!
