Nice phone

By

from La Crescenta, CA

Comments about Nokia Smartphone:

This is a nice phone, and the type of people who want this phone are the ones who are tech savvy. GIven this target audience, I feel that this N81 is indeed a nice phone, but a bit insufficient given what's available out there for this consumer base. Let me be specific. Those who are interested in N81s are the type of people who are typically in their teen years (20-25) who want the latest tech. The N81 somewhat meets that demand, as it has great multimedia support. This phone is all about playing music and mp3s, and video recording. But, it is not that great for texting as it does not have a full keyboard, and its internet features are lagging behind other offerings. Also, there are zero apps for this phone (as well as pretty much all other Nokia phones at the moment) and that is a huge turn off. In addition, there is no GPS on this phone. To be fair though, this is an older phone and is not up to date. Nokia always however makes a quality phone that has strong signal, and the N81 is no exception.

Good multimedia based phone

By

from Arcadia, CA

Comments about Nokia Smartphone:

Well i had this phone for about a year before someone stole it at the library. During the time that I had it, it was an excellent phone. It is a very different phone as it is very heavily geared towards the multimedia enthusiast. Its strength is viewing pictures, taking pictures, and listening to music. You can very quickly guage the multimedia aspect of this phone by looking at its operating system. The picture scrolling features a very cool scroll mechanism that allows you to scroll through your pictures in a very cool way, kind of like a film roll. The phone opens and closes vertically--you unlock the keyboard by pressing the screen upwards. Because this is not really geared towards the businessman (or woman) since this is a multimedia phone, you may be interested in the interesting alternatives to the typical grey shell (there's a cool blueberry and red version of this phone) since professionalism really doesn't matter with the N81. Battery life is excellent on this phone and I did not have any issues while I had it.

A good phone to start with

By

from Kennesaw, GA

Comments about Nokia Smartphone:

The n81 is one of the best budget phones Nokia has produced. It has a very nice interface having almost all the features of a new smar phone. Has the ability to connect into wi-fi Hot Spots, memory expandable upto 8 GB. has a 3.5 mm jack, which alloes you to connect any speakers and headphone. Fast streaming of videos from sites such as youtube, metacafe. To be honest, all is well except the camera. There is a greenish shade in the camera. that is the main fault i got. rest its all fine. and i would recommend for someone whose new in the smartphone world! if u are a fan of taking lots of pictures then i would say you shouldnt go for this. For any other activities this is absolutely fine to work wih.
