Nokia Lumia 810 is a great phone - not enough apps yet

4

I love the phone and all that it offers. The only downside is that many very useful apps I used on my previous iphone and blackberry are not available for the Windows platform. Battery Life Battery lasts for at least a full day of activity. For no surprises - needs charge every night Durability have dropped it quite a few times and looks / works like new Design The only problem I run into is that when I talk, I somehow often activate things in the phone, even when I am very careful not to touch the screen or any of the side buttons. Not sure what I do wrong but it is quite annoying when my calls go into "hold" etc.

Nokia Lumia 810

Really an excellent phone overall. While it doesn't have the 720P screens that the higher-end models have, it the screen is still very sharp, the insides are really good, and the price is definitely right. It has NFC and a micro SD card (which unfortunately can only be used for photos, videos, and music, not for apps), as well as really good quality cameras on both the front and the back of the unit. While I wish it had more than 8 GB of storage since apps can't be downloaded to the micro SD card, it really is a great phone for the price. Battery Life The battery life is pretty good, but sometimes it will drain quickly even when you aren't doing anything. It's a good idea to keep a charger on you. Display/Screen Quality Very sharp, crisp display with good color quality. Only marked down because it's only a 480P screen. Call Quality Good call quality. No complaints really. Ease of Use I have to hand it to Microsoft, the Windows Phone 8 operating system is really slick. Very easy to use both for beginners and advanced users. Durability Very durable. Design Well designed, but it is plastic. It would be nice if they used a little bit nicer of a material for it.

fantastic features and good durability

Can't get enough of looking at the tiles because not everyone is the same color and live tiles don't rotate at the same time.i love colors so it was the right choice for me and I can change the title colors depending on my moods. Battery Life I use my phone alot so I have to charge twice a day but it doesn't take too long to charge.and it's so much better if you download a battery monitoring app so you can be reminded how much hours or minutes you have left before your battery dies.and the battery saver is very handy too. Display/Screen Quality All ways clear never freezes up and still can be used while wearing gloves. Call Quality Call quality is awesome. Ease of Use The easiest smart phone I ever had I wouldn't trade this brand. Durability Not that light at all when your holding it.it feels like your holding something so I don't drop it like I used to drop all my other phones.you don't even have to put it in a case cause its black on black and the back can be wiped off with even a piece of dry paper towel. Design I love the weight of it very durable.

It can take a punch if anything.

Okay so by now I've had my handy dandy Lumia about a year. This is my first smartphone because I was always afraid that they were a little too fragile for my taste. This especially since I'm not only clumsier than a clown with big shoes but also since I'm heavy handed. So not even my first month with this phone and I drop the poor thing down the stairs. As it was tumbling down the stairs I wondered what the chance was that I would still be able to use it even with a giant crack in the screen. So when I finally got up to check the damage you could only imagine my surprise when I find not out that not only was it not cracked it wasn't even scratched. However it did have a slight ding on one of the corners but that was barely noticeable. I don't really like how you can adjust your screen lighting I mean I love the automatic setting but sometimes even the lowest setting is still a little too bright for my taste (note: I wear a high prescription of glasses). Battery life is okay I guess I mean it really depends on which apps Im running and how many at a time. I have T. Mobile so that may be the reason that my call quality is kinda low so you might wanna disregard that.

It's a great phone...once they work the bugs out

This is a good phone, but it locked up twice after I got it and I had to go to the AT&T store to get it fixed. They ended up giving me a new phone. It was fine after that. I have family members who have this same phone and all of them had similar problems. Battery Life You need to charge it every day Call Quality bad signal and weird sounds sometimes.

Great Phone but internet kills the battery fast

4

I love the phone itself. It has good sound quality both clear and loud. Touch screen is very sensitive and responsive. It comes with windows 8 which I like immensely. It doesn't seem like a major upgrade over my windows 7 phone but all the tiles are easily adjustable and can be easily organized to suit the user. The front facing camera is the best I ever had and the 2 LCD flash means that you get a pretty effective flash. The video camera isn't bad either. It picks up audio and video very good recording at 1080p. The rear facing camera haven't used except to try it. isn't totally awful but is great for self pictures or instant messaging. The phone has 3 buttons on the right side. One for volume, one for power and a camera shutter. Its internal memory is a little low at 8 gigs but I will never be able to use it all. The battery life is great until you use the internet then it sucks the power down fast. The phone thus far seems pretty durable though I'm very cautious with it. It syncs to the PC wonderfully and I can use it with my printer kind of. Screen resolution seems slightly lesser than my LG Quantum but is still very good. The screen size makes it so the touch screen features like keyboard are easy to use without accidentally clicking the wrong item. The more I use it the more I like it. I will be updating this review as I understand the phone and its features better. Battery Life If it weren't for the internet I would say battery life is great. Talk time is like 14 hours but using the internet can kill it in 2 hours depending on how much media is involved. Display/Screen Quality Not bad here. I looked up the specs and compared it to my previous phone and it read not as good that phone. I had thought that now I know it to be true but it does look good and the larger screen size helps out too. Call Quality This is also very good. Its funny but the quality never compares to my old late 90's early 2000's cell phones. Ease of Use super easy to use especially incorporated with windows Durability Haven't really tested it in this area but it feels pretty durable Design everything is in a great place

Great First Time Smartphone!

Upgraded from a basic phone to this Microsoft-based smartphone. I wasn't sure how well I would like it with the touch screen and all the tiles. After a day, I was hooked. This phone is super easy to use. I love that I can customize it and put on or take off tiles as I need. I also love that it will find wifi hot spots and not use my data plan this way. It has so many great features! My family loves that I can have it linked to the home Microsoft Live calendar. They can put things on her computer calendar and I will get notices on my phone. No more forgetting about something they told me about. They put it on the calendar and everyone knows about it! There are lots of apps available and tons of free ones. There are so many great things that you can do with this phone. Battery life is fair. The more you use the apps or wifi on the phone, the faster the battery is drained. This is understandable and I can live with that. I don't use the apps or wifi a ton, so I can charge it once every 24 to 48 hours. If you use it more, you may have to charge it more. They only issue I have with it is that it locks up from time to time. I had major issues with it right away but then I called my provider and they had me reset my phone. Now it locks up only once in a blue moon. I certainly can live with that. Battery Life Depending on what you do on your phone you battery may die faster. I don't have any issues with charging it every 24 to 48 hours. Display/Screen Quality The screen is a great size and the display quality is as good as any tablet I have used. Call Quality I have never dropped a call with this phone. I mainly use it for calls, so this is great! Ease of Use It can be a little confusing at first, for someone without tile experience. Once you get the hand of it, it is super easy! Durability It is a good made phone. I haven't dropped it or anything but I would think it would take a slight drop. I certainly wouldn't run it over but it is a good quality phone. Design It is a little bigger than I am use to. I like that though because I need a bigger screen with this setup. It is a nice looking phone, though.

Good & Durable

When we went into T-Mobile to change and update our phone plans we bought new phones. I went from a normal texting phone, to the Nokia Lumia Smartphone. The change over from a normal phone to a smart phone has taken some time to get used to, but I LOVE this new phone. My husband got the 8x, which is also a Windows Phone, just a tad lighter. I got this one because my 3 kids often play on my phone or with my phone and sometimes drop it, so we thought this one seemed more durable, and so far so good! I love that its compatible with Windows and I can use and see everything on my skydrive. I also really like the kids corner on the phone. Here my kids can play games and not get into anything they shouldn't. It does seem like a "brick" of a phone, but its a really great phone and has great battery life too!

Great Windows 8 phone

Great phone, intuitive, great call quality, touch screen responsiveness, screen size, great maps and driving apps. Love it! Battery Life Battery life is not the best, but charges really fast. Call Quality The call quality is great, it feels that the other person is next to you. Ease of Use Really intuitive phone, having used Windows for many years, I didn't have to really read the manual.
