I upgraded from Nokia E63 to the E72 which has improved OS and is better looking. Perhaps for the first time, I feel frustrated about a cellphone. I have been using the phone for a month now, and I still cannot wrap my brain around the notion that Nokia would release a product with such poor built quality and so many flaws. There are just so many problems even though you can see traces of the very successful E63 and E71 influence on the E72. First of all, compared to the E71 and E63, E72's loudspeaker is kind of weaker. The sound could break for high pitches. Also, it's is very easy for dust to get into the screen. On the other hand, the integrated GPS never gets locked with Nokia's OVI maps, but it works flawlessly with other navigation apps, which is kind of weired. The only con I can think of is the batter life is crazy. I only charge this bad boy once a week.

Nokia E72: A good phone if nokia is what you want I bought this phone from a friend who no longer wanted it. I have always wanted to have a blackberry style phone in backup just in case I lost or broke my iPhone. The Nokia E72 is a pretty slick phone by itself. Since it is not readily offered by many carriers and not too many people buy it you generally get people eyeing your phone when you are out and about. Most will mistake it for some kind of blackberry. Featurewise the phone is pretty good. It has a decent camera, GPS on board, comes with a car kit to use the GPS and a decent set of earphones. the accessories are good and I hope apple would learn some from Nokia in this department. Sound quality and phone usage are pretty good and easy. The only drawback is the lack of apps like Apple has for the iphone. Sure you have the Nokia suite and the ovi store but they dont have the variety that Apple has with the AppStore. I would definately recommend it as a backup phone!

I love the Nokia E series (sadly, i'm tired of it and want to go Android now), but it was so nice while i had it. People kept mistaking it as a blackberry but I personally think it's much easier than a BB. Sadly, the apps are not as great and it's kind of old-fashioned but once you hack the phone a little bit. Pros: SMALL, LIGHT, looks professional, much faster than the E71 and less memory leaks, very decent speaker, very decent camera, much faster EDGE speeds than other phones. VERY CHEAP for the functions and quality - I was so surprised to be able to buy this phone for less than 300 bucks Unlocked and without a contract. Cons: programs are limited, AT&T 3G will kill your battery, DONT hook your phone up to the charger and sleep on it - it's very flimsy and the charging plug will snap. Duh.
