Durable smartphone!

5

Currently, you can get a Nokia e63 for less than 100 bucks but don't let the low price fool you. It's still an amazing phone. The call quality on this set is pretty great. Combine with AT&T's service, I have never had a dropped call with this phone! And voices always go through loud and clear in both directions. The phone is wi-fi enabled which is nice if you don't want to get a data plan. As far as the hardware goes, the phone has a nice build and doesn't feel cheap. It also fits comfortably in my hand and the buttons are easy to press. The battery life is also decent. I can go an entire day without charging. I used to be able to go even longer when I first bought it. I've had this phone for 3 years now and it's still running strong. I've recently switched over to a newer Nokia but still occasionally go back to using this set. Nokia honestly has some of the most durable phones I have ever seen. I've dropped this phone at least 200 times and it only has a few corner scratches to show for it. Even if you don't buy this phone, you should still consider a Nokia phone! Battery Life Great battery life, I probably charge once a day or less with heavy use. Display/Screen Quality Depends on your needs. Not as great as some of touchscreen phones out there, but not bad by any means. Call Quality Excellent call quality, never had a problem Ease of Use Easy to learn how to use this phone Durability Has lasted me for 3 years! Design I have this in red and it's beautiful!

Small flip-top, reliable, takes clear pics

Lacking in many of the newer features, but very reliable in most respects. The screen shows photos larger and clearer than even the bigger, more modern phones. Drawbacks: camera activates if you just look at it funny; the volume seems to lower itself in your pocket, and it is very contrary about multimedia. Once in a great while it will surprise you by actually sending or receiving. But for text and regular calls - can't beat it!

E- series now E means economy.

Noki E63 is really cool in color, design and Features. First when I saw, I think it is Nokia E-75 in different color. It is really nice in color, with black and red backgroung. It is actually a Economy verson of E75 i think. because, there has no installation CD and cable in its pack and the head phone is just a normal stereo handphone. Camera quality is really poor, with 2Mega pixel camera. It has built in wifi and 3g, but does not suppot GPS. It can support 16GB micro SD memory card. The price of this phone add the real advantage. Its really in affordable price with wifi, quartelay keyboard, 3g.

This is a very solid phone. But not a good smartphone

Nokia really makes the best hardware, but not software. This phone is made in Finland and the build quality is superior. The battery is also crazy. It lasts for 3 days with heavy usage. The call quality is good as well. The keyboard is comfortable for small hands. However, the Symbian OS is kind of outdated. Nokia has their own email client (Nokia Messaging) installed on this phone. But if you are a serious emailer, stay away from that application and get a Blackberry. Even though it claims to support Push service with web emails, it has delays. But some features are still very handy with ease to use. For example, you can activate the camera flash as flashlight by pressing the space bar. I understand this phone targets people looking for budget smartphone, so it does not have built-in GPS as E71 and E72 do. But my biggest complaint is lacking of volume rockers. Imagine you have to use the Navi. key to adjust the volume during your call. Other than that, this is a great phone for me.

Good Value for Money

4

I have purchased this (Nokia E63) Red colour smart phone before three months and I am very happy and comfortable in using this phone. It is great mobile phone for a cheaper price when compared with other brands. I always stick on the Nokia brand for its durability, Signal Reception and the battery life. I am happy with the battery life, it lasts for around 2-3 days (I use to hear songs for the whole day). The Signal reception is too good, I am able to use the phone anywhere in my home unlike other phones. The software is good that even when it crashes you will be able to bring it back to the working state. Unfortunately I have dropped this phone multiple times but the durability of the phone is amazing. The camera quality is not so good, please do not take memorable photos with this phone you will end up with poor quality pictures. The other draw back is that there is no internal GPS option available. Sound clarity is good but however when the speaker/Hands free option is used the volume is comparatively less. Overall this economical smart phone is a great value for the money paid.

my current phone that I love

5

This is my current phone at the moment and after having used many Nokia cell phones always convinced to stay with the Nokia line and that is how it ended up with the Nokia E63 phone.there isn't much to say except that I absolutely love this phone and that this phone rocks. I simply do not care if it does not have a touchscreen or if it doesn't have GPS because all of the important things that I need and the way I use my cellular phone is suited for this very type of phone. I am a user that does not need all the applications and I already had a GPS unit in my car so I do not require one to my cellular phone. I would rather have a cheap and effective good looking phone that is capable of doing some Internet browsing and the like without having to spend so much cash. The E63will be my phone for some time.

Underrated phone

5

The Nokia E63 is one of my favorite underrated phones from Nokia. I feel that today a lot of the attention goes to the apple iphone4 board the droid series. The Blackberry phones are still popular as well although their popularity is diminishing. I feel that even more than the Blackberry phones, Nokia is kept in the dark and is severely underrated and overlooked. The nokia e63 it's definitely not a bad phone. The grip and shape of the exterior of this phone is standard, and Nokia uses the same working formula that has been proven for some time. The screen is small and does not use touch screen technology. Even so, it's adequate and I have no problem seeing what I am doing. Moving around does not cause me to break up or lose signal. Rather, signal is good wherever I go, unless I am in a remote area.

great for the money spent

4

This is a really good phone for the money. It makes and takes calls, it can text message, the screen is decently wide, it can handle emails, and it has a two megapixel camera on the back of the phone. Battery charge is not bad. If I just make calls and text message, it can surviev around three to four days with no charging up. That really depends on how much texting and calls you make though. The keyboard is laid out really well with all the letters having their own button, there's no cramming like the basic phones that you get for free. There is an easy button for the home, the calendar, the contact list, and the email key. One thing I do not like about the Nokia E63 is that certain entries on the mainpage cannot be removed and will always show. For example the No calendar entries today message on the very main page cannot be removed, at least not easily since I have searched for a way to get rid of it and still cannot. This is not that big of a deal to me though.

Cool phone

Saw an offer for an E63 that I could not refuse. I've been using mine for a while now and I love it. It comes in a box with everything you need, the phone of course, pamplet, charger. The phone comes with protective screens, like a sheet for the screen and a small little protectiev sheet for the camera on the back of the E63. The phone has an all keyboard setup, which means that if you do a lot of internet browsing or a lot of texting or do a lot of email checking and replying, the E63 is going to treat you very well. The case seems very sturdy and robust. Surprisingly I do not have any scratches or dents in mine, which is odd because although I am generally a careful person, I have dropped it a few times while getting out of my car.

Not perfect but good

4

I like the E63, it's not a perfect phone but during the times that I have owned my three to four phones I have never seen or used a perfect phone. I mean, the Iphone4 for example, as great as it is, has inherent flaws that came with that phone even from the factory. I'm talking about the death grip. Anyhow, that's considered a great phone and everyone is able to overlook it and I am able to overlook any flaws the E63 has since it's not a game breaking flaw. The main flaw I would say is the lack of applications available to the E63. Not just the E63 though it's all Nokia phones. But I feel that Nokia can one day change that. The main aspects of the phone, like making calls and holding the call, is exceptionally good and better than other non-Nokia brands in my opinion. It does not hurt that the Nokia E63 also looks good. It looks a lot like other smart phones that are non-touch screens. If you want a good quality phone that makes calls then the E63 is fine.
