I purchased this phone when my Razr (first generation) just DIED on me. On my birthday. And apparently, I had somehow switched my memory from SIM card to phone, so I lost ALL my contacts and info., not to mention my purchased games and ringtones. But that's another story.
The representatives from T-Mobile assured me that this was a leading-edge phone, one of the most reliable, and one of the most user-friendly and popular. With all the extras attached, it looked very attractive for the discounted price I was being offered ($50). I now think even that was TOO MUCH.
For starters, I can't connect it to my computer. It has an MP3 player, but in order to download MP3s, I would have to purchase a separate $50 cord! And even then, it doesn't guarantee that I will be able to load up my favorite songs. Because I can't load my songs, I am limited to whatever ringtones the company has for purchase, at $5/ringtone (not even the whole song). What a rip!
Also, the earbud the phone came with is a set of headphones. What am I supposed to do with two-piece headphones when I can't even get my music on the phone?? It's very disconcerting to try to have a conversation with someone when they're in stereo. I had to buy a cheap $10 single earbud (or the other option was to get a blue-tooth device, ranging in price from $30-90, but I don't dig looking like a crazy person talking to myself with a bluetooth lodged in my ear).
Overall, the phone itself is fine. But for being marketed as a "cutting-edge" device with "all the extras you could ever want," minus e-mail, I am NOT IMPRESSED.
