This is a very basic cell phone with no bells and whistles. If what you need is dependable voice to voice communication in somewhat spotty cell phone reception areas then I highly recommend this phone. My girl friend and I were both on Verizonwireless network in rural Montana. She had this Nokia 6010 that would have solid reception in areas where my Motorola and then my Audiovox phones had no reception at all. I thought maybe she had just lucked out with a phone that happened to work exceptionally well on that network. Need drove me to fork out the $50 for the same phone. I was surprised when I got as good reception as she did. We then moved to rural Minnesota where the Verizon service wasn't. Switched to Cellular One and got another Nokia 6010. Compared to friends and family, most of who were on the same network, my girlfriend and I with our Nokia 6010s always got better reception than anyone else and often had good reception where they had none. My first cell phone was a Nokia and I appreciated the common sense menu structure and operation. The Motorola and the Audiovox sucked in comparison. Both of my Nokias were heavily used and abused and I never had any problems. I'm about ready to upgrade and have started researching the newer cell phones. Seems some Nokia phones are made in Korea are not as good so I feel I can no longer assume that Nokia phones are all as good as the 6010. I've started looking at 6015i - similar look with added features.
