This is one of the low end Nokia Symbian smartphones. It features Symbian S60v5 which has a decent availability of apps. Pros-- Look- The model is attractive. It has a dark coffee color back which adds to its beauty. Camera- One of the best feature of mobile. Still photography is good. Video capturing is very good. You can easily play recorded video on laptop without blurring. Secondary camera, for video chat, takes decent shots. Durability- I have dropped it quite a few times, its still not broken. Cons-- Video Player- Biggest disadvantage of phone. It can't play h264 and Xvid codecs. Xvid problem is solved by installing smartmovie, but h264 problem still remains. Low memory- You can't play many apps at same time. Opera Mobile always hangs. Touchscreen-- Resistive. Though the pen they provided helps. Battery Life When new, the battery backup is good, but it degrades rather quickly. Display/Screen Quality 3.2" screen with 640x360 resolution. Better than average. Call Quality Voice is very clear and dialing screen is big enough to use your thumbs. Ease of Use Touchscreen is resistive, but the pen they provide actually helps a lot. Durability Have dropped it many times. Still okay. Design Very attractive look. I especially like the back cover.

A really cool MP3 supported cell phone by Nokia. It is Nokia 5800 Xpress music. just touch on the 3.2 inch wide screen and it will play. Sound quality is awasome. It is not only best for music but also very good for using as a multimedia set.

Today you can find many many phones. But if you think about it some are actually worth it while others are not. This phone changed my way of electronics. From the good wifi on the go. The camera is also great for family pictures when you go out with your family. Don't get me started about the gps is absolutely the BEST.I had some confusing GPS's before and they didn't really guide me that good. The GPS counts the miles until you have to turn left or right or even know if you have to move to the right lane before. Even the traffic! How cool is that? The Keyboard is so easy to text with. At first I was a little worried about a  virtual keyboard since I haven't used it like that before but I never thought it would be like this. You know the old saying good things come in small packages well this is such a small little phone that it's probably one of those "packages". I would definitely reccomended to anyone!

Every time after buying a cell phone i usually take too much time to find the suitable accessories (such as the cover, the stylus, the transparent screen protector) i have been using it for more than 6 months and i did not have any problem with it, i can access the internet through my cell phone. the express music feature makes the music sound very clear so you can enjoy listening to your favorite songs, also you can listen to the radio. thaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaank you very very very very much Nokia for the production of this great, nice, fabulous cell phone. i forgot to tell you about the wifi feature which is great if you want to use the internet while on the go.

Nokia 5800 was the first touch phone from Nokia . It had good features like 3.2 inch resistive screen , 3.2 mpx carl zeiss camera with dual flashes , dual stereo speakers , 3G , wifi , GPS and others. It was a good first attempt by nokia and is really a famous phone . Nokia modified the symbian series 60 to create version5 which supported touch. The touch was decent for the time it was launched . It was laggy a bit but pretty decent all together . The camera is good for casual picture taking with good flash support for low light conditions. It was an xpessMusic phone so the speakers are loud and don't get distorted except above 90% volume . It also has a 3.5 mm jack to plug in some high quality earphones as the one nokia provides are really not upto the mark .  It was a good phone at the time it was launched . The problem for Nokia is that they didn't evolve it much until very later when N900 and N8 came out . They tried to launch the same phone under different version tweaking a thing or two .

Excellent product, has it all: MP3 player, GPS with Maps (care to configure x well and if not you remove the AGPS-scale credit), latest symbian fast ... everything that Nokia has used for some time and also has wifi A flaw I find in the GPS, although I must admit I have disabled everything and kept only the GPS module for not spending with the data connection, which is a bit 'slow to fix in some cases, too (20 minutes). The rest is good, the included bracket is convenient only if you use it as a navigator for long trips and not to put the phone in your car. The battery lasts long enough to moderate the use of Bluetooth and WiFi, the form remains one of the classic clamshell phone or older and not as wide as other smartphones. There are interesting free software downloaded from the site Ovi.

Nokia 5800: Xpressmusic - A great backup phone I am one who always belives in keeping a backup phone. You never know when your primary stops working :) I managed to get the Nokia 5800 on a good deal from dell.com and tried it out as my primary phone instead of my iphone 4 for a few months. Opening the box, Nokia does not chicken out the way Apple does. They give you a screen protector, a CD with phone software, a set of earphones and a car gps mount. Mine was the GPS edition. The phone itself shows its age. The processor is not very fast and changing screens takes more time than the iphone. The best features of this phone I like are: 1. Wifi: easy to surf the internet 2. great signal reception: There are locations where my iphone actually drops signal, but the 5800 did show 2 bars! 3. Standalone GPS: The GPS on this phone does not use data since all the maps are already installed on the phone. That is a good feature since other smart phones use data plans to constantly update maps. The only negative about this phone I feel is its age. The OS feels slow and the apps available for this phone dont compare to the ones available for the iphone. However, it is a great phone to have as a standby/backup phone.

Hey buddies. I bought this phone for my sister as she is a music fan and always listening to some music, The name says it all. Nokia 5800 express is really an impressive express with loaded features, amazing build and strong battery life. I would like to share with you guys that this phone actually changed my sister's perception towards nokia. She was in a dilema that Nokia is not a good brand but I somehow convinced her to use this phone and here she go..now she only likes Nokia. Let me describe why. My sister studies in a college where wi-fi is in use. She has A WI-FI enabled phone which recives great wifi reception actually. She like to listen to music and the quality of speakers is awesome. The phone is touch screen and that's why it looks very bright and stylist. The weight is a little problem here but it's not a turn off. The dying OS is also one more thing that needs to improve. The apps are not great and I think nokia should improve or come up with a plan which can give it's user some apps experience. Thanks
