The Nokia 5300 is the best phone I have used and I have used many.  It is easy to use, slim and very clear.  I liked it so much I bought one for both of my childredn and my husband; who by the way is not technically inclinded at all and he loves it.  I would recommend this phone to anyone who want... read full review »

I got this phone for my wife and she had problems with the software before the warrenty expired.

The company didn't bother changing the scratched screen.

It is a good phone but nothing compared to the WIFi ready ones.

I think this phone is the end of an era.

The Nokia 5300 is one of Nokia's better looking phones in recent years. This is part of their Xpress Music line and is suprisingly capable as an MP3 player. I've actually found myself moving away from my old iPod Mini to my 5300 as my main source of music, the only musical drawback is that you have to use a plugin converter to use standard head phones, pretty much a pain to carry the little plug around.

As far as the phone itself is concernced it is a rather large, solidly built slider. 5-way nav, 2 soft keys, and the standard Answer and Reject keys adorn the front with a standalone power button...

I purchased my Nokia 5300 XpressMusic at full price ($180 at the time) because I didn't want to upgrade my T-Mobile contract (unhappy with their lacking coverage). I loved it for the first few days until the novelty wore off. The expandable memory (MicroSD) slot is great if you actually use your phone to listen to music, but doing so will kill the battery quickly. The battery life is sub-par for a near $200 phone. I found myself charging it every day to a day-and-a-half. I never got around to using the music player on a regular basis, though a couple of times I did use it the speaker quality...

I have had my Nokia 5300 Xpress Music phone for about 6 months now and I can tell you that unless you needa smart phone, this phone would work well for just about anyone else.  Only the "Uber geek", that has to have the very latest gadgets and technology, would  require a phone that is supposedly better.  My only real complaint about this phone has to do with the battery cover.  It is very difficult to remove and because of that it is difficult to remove the memory card as well since the card is under the battery cover.  The reason this bothers me is that I have multiple memory cards as well...

I was a bit skeptical when I purchased this phone..already being a t-mobile customer, it was less than $50 for me to buy.  Let me just tell you, this phone ROCKS!  =]  The speaker phone volume is ridiculous and sounds like a regular mini boom box when playing songs.  I use this phone daily to make phone calls and send text and picture messages.  So far, 5 months- no problem.  It is extremely simple to connect the phone via usb cable to my laptop and with little effort I can sync music from WMP.  I always use this phone when I'm on the treadmill or riding my bike.  Absolutely NO complaints. ... read full review »

I've been switching back and forth between Nokia and other brands for 15 years now,  but I've always preferred the ease of use of the Nokia phones - somehow the menus are more intuitive to me than the others. Sound quality is good, ringtones are good, works well with Bluetooth (I have a Plantronics and never have any trouble connecting), battery life is good. I haven't really used the camera, as I have a camera for pics, but the couple of pics I did take looked good for a camera phone. It has a great music player built in also. It's certainly easier to use than the Samsung cell that I use for... read full review »

I love my Nokia 5300 Xpress Music phone. I hear that there is currently an update available but it isn't a slider, and its bigger- although it appears to be slimmer. I enjoy the the MP3 player and you can tap into your local radio station using the stero headphones that are included as well. It comes with the micro sd card too so it is a complete package ready to go! I love the external shortcut buttons, and for you fellow text messengers, it slides up for quick and easy texting. This phone was the best investment that I have made in a cell phone, I am almost afraid to upgrade for fear the new... read full review »

I thought i would love this phone!! Unfortunately it didn't really live up to what I thought it would. I don't expect a lot out of a phone, but the user interface isn't exactly user friendly. Everything is not organized very well and the titles of sections can be confusing. Never was able to upload any song onto it, they wouldn't work. Also, I dropped it from the couch onto  carpet once and the back  cracked and won't go on right.  Wanted a different phone about 2 weeks after I received it. Horrible Reception.

The Nokia 5300 Xpress Music is a very good phone and music player. The quality of sound even with the included standard earphones is fantastic. The camera is adequate for normal purposes.

The battery life is disappointing. You can listen to 2 hrs of music and that's about it. This means, if you are at the airport listening to music, you're basically dead with the phone until you recharge.

The look and feel of the phone are great.

I got this phone and didn't realized all the things it could do.  It has a lot of capacity for songs, video, pictures.  My kids loved all the things it could do.  It can even download a movie on it I was told by the salesman  I haven't gotten that tech savy though.  It is fragile though and need to be protective of it.  If it broke, I would definately go out and buy another.

This phone is one of my best purchases. it has excellent voice clarity ( I use T-Mobile), takes really good pictures (1.3 mp), uses micro SD card for memory to hold all my favorit music and pictures and video. an fm radio and external control buttons on a slide phone which is really cool for someone like me who "accidental dials" on a bar style phone.

Love it

This is a great phone/camera/mp3 player/radio. I've had the phone for about 4 months. I do use my iPod as a music player more than I use this phone for that purpose, but it is a good music player and the built-in FM radio is especially handy. It is also a really decent digital camera for a camera phone and it's very simple to transfer music and pics to the computer
with the USB cable.

The Nokia 5300 is a great phone. It has all the best features to it. It has a music player, microsd slot for more memory, video recorder, camera and even more. The only bad thing i could say about this phone is only about 3 months after purchase it started to mess up with buttons.sometimes the buttons wouldnt work and would have any affect.
