Nokia - 1600 Cell Phone Review Summary

Those who like to keep it simple may like the Nokia 1600 Cell Phone. So, considering the good and the bad, the Nokia 1600 Cell Phone ranks as an average Cell Phone designed for those who want a phone with good sound and little else.

The Nokia 1600 is a basic cell phone with no bells and whistles. It has text capability but we don't use it. We use it as a mobile phone to stay in touch when we are away from home. We have pre-paid service through Net-10 and we couldn't be happier. We buy 300 minutes for about $30 and it lasts us for...

I use a Nokia 1600, with a very low-cost .. Consumer Cellular .. phone plan. I don't make many calls, nor receive many - most of the latter, are directed to an old, land-line type of telephone. .. The Nokia 1600 though, is VERY good, maybe even exceptional. The range and the battery life, especially, are very consistent .. even when I use the phone in outlying areas .. the Outer Banks of NC, for instance. .. If you can do WITHout expensive options .. pictures, texting, etc. .. then the Nokia can be one of the best, in the basics.

My Nokia 1600 has several issues. The volume is insufficient. The button design makes it difficult to press just the number you actually want without also getting the number on the other half of the button. The phone will occasionally shut itself off for no reason, even with a full charge and just sitting on the counter. Even with the keys locked, putting the phone in your pocket will result in random occurences. Reading the display is almost impossible in sunlight.

The Nokia 1600 is the BEST cell phone I have ever owned. It is a small and compact bar style phone. The numbers are large and the screen is a great size.  It also has a very nice feature; to hear the time, you only have to push the '(*) Star' button. You also have a convenient 'lock keys' combo (2 keys). I have to tell you this as well, this phone is very DURABLE!

I am a new cell phone user.  I just wanted something for emergancies while traveling to and from work.  I comute almost 2 hours everyday to and from work.  The roads that I travel do not have a high volume of traffic but have many deer crossings.  This phone is perfect for what I need.  I do recommend this product to those that do not want or need anything but the phone.  It is easy to use.

I had this phone when I had Cingular, which I hated (too many gaps in service area, and once I could not even get through to 911 after my daughter had "tasted" mouse poison!). When we switched, I had to give up my phone. I was sad because it was so sturdy! When the guy sold it to us he said it was "built like a tank" and it was!

This phone charges very quickly, sounds great, has an 18 day battery life. The service, Net10 is cheap. However, buttons are pressed easily in the pocket. It also does not equip with a camera. I use this and I rely on this phone to communicate! I like this phone a lot!

The Nokia-1600 cell phone is a decent phone. I never really have any problems with my service and I like that my phone comes with a cheaper contract. I just wish it had all of the features that my old phone had. Video, audio player, better games, camera phone.

The Nokia is the best phone I will ever own. I love how it fits my budget, no monthly phone bills. I'm able to call from just about anywhere, except in no service zones, but not that often.

The Nokia 1600 is a good entry level phone, with a full-color screen, polyphonic ringtones, and easy-to-use menus. It is usually offered on budget or prepaid plans.

Nokia's 1600 cell phone is good for just that...being a cell phone. It has great rates, but lacks a lot of gadgits that other cell phones have by default.
