read full review »I didn't think I needed a cell phone but my daughter gave me a Nokia Tracfone to have for emergencies after I was without power or phone sevice for two weeks after hurricane Katrina damaged our area. I have found it a great source of assurance that I can reach help and contact people when necessary. The Tracfone, which I have had over two years now has been a great thing for me. The cost is reasonable as I make mostly short calls. When I am a way from the house, people can reach me about important matters. When I travel I can call to tell people the plane is late and was surprised that calling...
read full review »About five or six years ago one of my best friends purchased a cell phone for me. It was the first one I ever owned. The Nokia 1100. It was small and blue and just a bar phone. Nothing fancy, not even a flip or a camera. This was an awesome phone. I carried it for five long years and this phone was dropped in water and on the hard ground many times. My niece teethed on it and she chewed it. This phone worked great even though it had been thru so much. At work, a few weeks ago, I laid it down on the restroom counter and it was stolen. I was absolutely devastated that my...
read full review »The good: The Motorola U9 offers an attractive design, a decent music player with stereo Bluetooth, and an appealing display.
The bad: The Motorola U9's controls are flat and slippery and its memory card is in an inconvenient location. Its menus can be sluggish and its photo quality is poor.
The bottom line: The Motorola U9 is a mostly reliable music phone with an eye-catching design. We had a few complaints, but it makes up for its deficiencies with good call quality.
Specifications: Band / mode: GSM 800/1900; Talk time: Up to 255 min; Combined with: With digital camera / digital player;
This Nokia phone is simple, easy to use, no frills - This phone is great if you don't want to use them anyways - no risk of getting charged for things you don't use or need ;)
This phone is easy to navigate and Cingular gives great rebate- FREE phone ;)
Cons may be that this may not be available any longer, no frills if you want them- cannot add these features later on etc...
I like the convenience of this phone most of the time. But quite often I can not get extra time on the Internet or with a time card. So I have to call and most of the time I can not understand the person I am speaking to because they are in another country.
