The Case
Okay, so, normally, everyday socks might not seem like a hot item to review. I mean, there's absolutely nothing specialized about these socks - they're not specialized for hiking, they're not specialized for skiing, they're not insulated, and they have no overt podiatric qualities. That being said, throughout grade school, middle school, and high school, replacing worn-out socks was a nearly bi-monthly ordeal for me. What with basketball, volleyball, and softball, finding socks that lasted longer than a few weeks to a month seemed a near impossible endeavor. Yeah. Thoughout school, that's how it was. Now, though, I've found a long-lasting brand of socks in No Nonsense! Of course, I'm not in school sports anymore. Sheesh. Go figure.
The Good
No Nonsense socks are aptly named. They're made of separate parts cotton, nylon, rayon, spandex, and polyester, and to me that doesn't really matter. What matters is that they're very soft, well-cushioned, and they don't stretch, at least not noticeably. Even though I'm not in organized school athletics anymore, I'm still fairly active. I run regularly (or try to...), and I'm always in for a pick-up game of B-ball. And, wonder of wonders, with the No Nonsense socks, I've found that new socks are no longer an-every-two-weeks kind of necessity. Hallelujah!
The Bad
Soft, cushioned, comfortable, and long-lasting? What's not to love?
The Verdict
Five stars! It's going to take a super-sock to tear me away from choosing No Nonsense!
