I must say, that I made the purchase of my Nissan Versa in a bit of a hurry and a pinch.  I bought it roughly a few days ago due to my former car being totaled by mechanical problems and out of desperation.  However, despite this, I must say I'm very pleased with the Versa. I went with a hatchback design over the offered sedan, and I did so for the sharper design in the hatchback than the sedan.  The sedan looked plain while the hatchback looked to offer a little more space and lets face it, cuter.

However, my first impression of the car was that this was going to be a small and cramped vehicle, with lower grade fabrics and build materials as whats expected of fuel efficent, economy cars.  Boy was I in for a surprise.  Upon first glance, yes the Versa looked small and cramped, till I opened the door.  I haven't had this much space in the previous economy sedans I've owned before and was pleased at how comfterble it was, granted the head restraint is a smidge annoying, but in the proper position, the seats are great and the overall interior build is very nice.  Its great that Nissan made air conditioning standard on this model, even though mine is the base S model and not the SL that has alot more to offer buyers who were most likely better prepared than I was.  But I'm pleased to say that the standard features offered on this vehicle are very nice for a car that meant to be on the lower vehicle bracket and found I liked it alot better than the Toyota Yaris and Honda Fit, which I'd looked at before.

Additionaly the standard AM/FM/CD-player system with basic four speakers was comprable to a Bose system equiped 2002 Audi owned by a friend of mine, which was a nice surprise as well, despite nearly getting blasted by both vehicles.

Cargo space in this is fantastic, I'm just out of college and used to packing down a vehicle and as a result not being able to see out of the back.  I was beyond thrilled to be able to load down my Versa with all equipment I take on me to my new career oriented work, plus be able to view my surroundings comfterbly without anything blocking my view and space to spare.  I never could do this in my old Cavalier and with all the stuff I need for work, most likely I'd never seen over the backseat.

The design on the Versa is great, I've worked in the vehile maintience side of the auto industry and am very picky when it comes to vehicle design, performance, and how easy it is to manage a vehicles maintience, not something you think about everyday, but can come up painfully if not handled properly.  The tire size is a tire size thats readily available at most quick tire shops and wont cost a small fortune to replace, including relatively inexpensive oil services and maintience.  Off the matience side of this car, this car performs very well for a four cylinder engine and can drive comfterbly at highway speeds.  The interior cabin is very quiet and the engine, even when being pushed to run hard, is relatively quiet, you barely know its on when in park and barely audible in acceleration.  A put down for more enthusiastic drivers, but for I love a quiet ride.  The design of this car isn't flashy, its defiently more practical, but I can say that it is almost elegantly cute.

Overall I recommend this car, Nissan offers a fantastic warranty on it and its a nice car for the bucks you pay for.
