    Gas mileage could be better, Don't like the 'bolt' trims on fenders

We retired to the Big Island of Hawaii from PA in 2003.  We quickly discovered we needed a truck to haul trash to the transfer station, merchandise from Costco, etc.  We also don't believe dogs should ride in a truck bed and thus wanted a 4-door pickup.  We shopped around and checked Consumer Reports. The Nissan Frontier was highly rated and the Nissan dealer in Kailua-Kona was having a year-end sale.  Although I don't like the 'bolts' used as trim on the fenders, I could live with that one bad feature.  I also have a Corvette but prefer to drive the pickup because there are so many trucks on the road that being down low in a Corvette is quite unnerving.  I love sitting up high with the 'big boys', so to speak.
