Nip/Tuck Review

Want to spice up your week? 
Nip Tuck is loaded with sexy scenes & people, but comes with caveat:  you'll be squirming as much as you'll be panting.   The show has LOTS of eye candy for guys AND gals.....but also lots of blood and uncomfortable situations.  This is not a show that just relies on gratuitous sex.  The plot is guaranteed to be thought-provoking.  The characters are deeply flawed (and believable).  The mistakes they make get them in a peck of real-life trouble:  sexual, legal, physical, mental, marital, financial, etc.  You'll be squirming by the situations that are presented, as well as the blood.   Someone is always on the table.  

This is your Brain on Dilemma
Nip Tuck's story lines always push the envelope.   The writers have historically gone out of their way to think up moral dilemmas, ethical dilemmas, financial dilemmas, spiritual dilemmas.....and on and on.   Drs. Troy and McNamara often find themselves faced with patients who create a problem for them.   Take, for example, the older woman who was addicted to surgery.  Would YOU take her money and do another procedure?

Do NOT watch this show while the kids are up.   It includes nudity, violence drugs, drugs and lots of sex.  Straight sex, gay sex, porn sex, wild sex, young sex, group sex . . . you name it.   If you're romantically involved with someone who might find this a turn-on, just make sure they (and you) can handle the sight of blood.  There's always plenty of that, too, as surgeries and wounds are central to each episode.   

Libby's Hot Tip:  I think you'll get a lot more enjoyment out of the current (or any) season if you first rent the previous seasons on DVD.   But either way, you're in for a wild ride.  Consider closing the curtains if you have nighttime dog-walkers in your neighborhood.
