Several years ago I noticed that my hair was falling out, but growing back at the same time. So, my hair wasn't really thinning gradually, but it had gotten thinner and was staying that way. My mom had fairly good luck with the Nioxin system so I thought I'd try it too. Effectiveness Within a few weeks of using this system, my scalp itched a lot. My hairdresser said that it was likely due to the regrowth of my hair, which was encouraging. After two months of use there wasn't any noticeable difference in the thickness of my hair. I did notice, however, that my hair was much drier and unhealthier feeling than what it was normally. I chemically treat my hair, so am used to some damage but this was worse. I also think the color was stripped from my hair sooner than usual, despite the fact that this system is formulated for chemically-treated hair. I've heard enough success stories, so I wouldn't not recommend trying this is you have thinning hair. However, don't count on it working. Scent I did like the scent of the Nioxin products.

While I have not tried the shampoo for Nioxin's System 3, I adore its conditioner. The conditioner smells so wonderfully. Using it, makes the shower into a spa-like experience. I look forward to showering because of it. And the smell lingers (for a little bit) after its rinsed out. In addition to the delightful scent, the conditioner works wonders. It hydrates my hair unlike most other conditions. It lasts for days--my hair stays smooth and shiny, which is the way it should be. Thumbs up Nioxin! Effectiveness System 3's conditioner works wonderfully. It keeps my hair hydrated from the moment it touches my hair. I'm not sure how the conditioner works with the shampoo from the same system. Rather, I use System 3's condition with System 1's shampoo. I'm not entirely sure why, except that that's what a family member of mine does. But I have tried System 1's conditioner and I definitely prefer System 3's to it any day. The former causes an allergic reaction, whereas this one does not. Scent It smells so, so, so good!

It does work but it takes a little bit and it dries out your hair. This system took about 2 weeks to work for me and if hair is wahed everyday probably it will work a bitsooner. However, the system does dry out the hair so I would recommend every other day Effectiveness It does work but after a week or two Scent mint scent

I have been dealing with my hair thinning out over the last five years.  My beautician recommended I try Nioxin Cleanser for fine hair 3 because the rate at which I was losing my hair was quite astounding.  She sells it in her salon, and she gives me a discount everytime I buy.  It is cheaper if you buy it in a bigger size.  At first I only used it for every other washing, but after 3 months it was obvious I needed to use it at each washing.  It took some time, but now I have faster hair growth and it does not look as thin.  My balding spots are about gone.  My hair will never be thick like it used to be, but as I get older at least I will not go bald.  After years of watching bunches of hair go down the drain every time I washed it, now it is only a few.  Although the price is somewhat expensive, it is worth it for me.  I have found no other shampoo that has helped my hair like Nioxin has.

This is one of the best cleaners you can buy. Not only is it great for your hair it is an awsome face and body cleanser. It helps with acne,  dandruff, exzema, and other skin issues. You won't need to claify your hair (unless your a daily swimmer). It cleanes buildup off you scalp and in hair follicle so your hair can grow through because there won't be enviromental and product toxins. Slows, stops and in some cases reverses balding. Does NOT have waxes that build up on your hair, eventually drying it out and making it lifeless. So no need to swicth shampoo's as some suggest. Only need a small amount as it is not made of fillers making you think your getting more for your money.

  I spent nine months in Russia a couple of years ago, and between the stress and the change in my diet, my hair began to fall out and get noticeably thinner.  To add to the stress I was already experiencing, I became panicked and depressed about my hair.  I was in my twenties, and I was losing my hair!  I couldn't believe it.  I had always been known for my red hair, and it was falling out.  After every shower, I cried at how much hair came out when I ran my fingers through my hair.  When I got back to the States, my hairstylist recommended Nioxin Cleanser to me.  I'll admit that I was a bit hesitant to buy it (due to the comparatively high price of Nioxin products).  I decided to invest in one bottle and give it a chance.  Since I color my hair, I chose Nioxin Cleanser For Fine Hair, System 3, For Chemically Enhanced Hair.  About midway through using the bottle, I noticed little baby hairs starting to sprout out of my scalp.  My hair was coming back!  After a few months of using Nioxin Cleanser, I was completely won over by the product.  The baby hairs stuck around and grew into my mane and thickened it back up.  I continued to use the product, and my hair grew back to its prior thickness over time.  This product doesn't just stop hair thinning-it reverses it.  I still use Nioxin to this day and I will never use a different shampoo.

I have always had a problem with fine, thin hair. Through the years, it has gotten progressively worse. My hair stylist had a sample of the Nioxin line and gave it to me to try. It is one of the best shampoos I have ever used. Within 30 days my hair stopped falling out. My hair is more manageable now than in the past. Nioxin has many products to work with my type hair and they are all weightless. Some of the products are a bit pricey, but if you average how big the shampoo bottle is and how little you use, in my opinion, it doesn't cost that much more to use. In addition, it is good for my hair and my hair is no longer falling out. I do alternate shampoos on a weekly basis so there is no build-up on my hair. I don't particularly care for the conditioner. If I used it reguarly, I would most probably get better results. I usually buy the shampoo at a place called Trade Secret in San Antonio. They offer monthly specials and send coupons through the mail, and that helps cut the cost as well.

Nioxin Cleaner for Fine Hair, System 3 was my last ditch effort for thicker hair.  I had tried so many different products out there on the market today and nothing seemed to help or work at all.  I have very fine hair and I needed something that would make my hair thicker and jump start new growth.  Nioxin Cleaner and Conditioner for Fine Hair, System 3 is the product that finally worked!  The cleaner works great, but the conditioner is my favorite part.  You actually feel the pores on your head opening up and the conditioner working.  As soon as you put the conditioner on, you feel am amazing cooling senstation that you feel all over your scalp. You can actually feel the product working.  After about one month I noticed that my hair was thicker and still is steadily  growing thicker.  I have also found that new hair growth is coming in becasue of this product.  It works great and I would recommend to a friend any day.

The people of Nioxin really know what they're doing! I purchased this system when it seemed I was beginning to lose a lot of hair. I never really lost a lot of hair before and it seemed like the hair loss was beginning to be very noticeable in the shower and afterwards when I did a comb out. I was really beginning to get panicked when my hairstylist recommended I try the Nioxin. I started using it every time I shampooed and in about two weeks noticed a definite decrease in the amount of hairs falling out. Now I just use it maybe once a week for maintenance and I haven't noticed the hair loss since I started using the Nioxin. It's slightly pricey but definitely worth the piece of mind and not constantly looking in my rearview mirror while I'm driving trying to see if my part is getting wider. I highly recommend the Nioxin for fine hair. It does what it says and it's a great product for cleansing and conditioning.
