The Wii Play comes with an additional Wii-remote so you can "play with a friend".  A great idea since the Wii console only comes with one Wiimote - this is a great way to add on another Wiimote with little additional $$'s as it's included in the game price. :) There are nine games on the disk.  They... review »

We bought Wii Play because we were looking for new, multiplayer games that my husband and I could enjoy together. We shelled out $49.99 plus tax at Target for just this disc of 9 games. Yes, we are suckers.

Wii Play is a collection of short games that can be played with 1 or 2 players. The games are:...

This game was soooo worth the money!  Our entire family gets together and has competitions with this game.  Our favorite game is Tennis, but we also enjoy Baseball and golf.  It is PERFECT because everyone can play at the same time and we're up and moving around the living room trying to outscore one another, so no one is bored while someone else is playing.  Other games included are boxig and bowling, which are both also fun.

The Wii system is a lot more expensive than others, but it's so much fun because it's interactive.  The sports games, because I have two boys, are the most popular in...

I am in love with my Nintendo Wii.  The very first game that we purchased for our Nintendo Wii was the Wii Play.  Wii play is a $49.99 game, which is the most expensive pricepoint for any Wii game.  With that being said, the actual game is not worth it.  But, with Wii Play you get a Wii Remote.  The Wii Remote in itself is worth $39.99.  So basically the game is only $9.99.

If you are truly only paying $10 for the video game, then it is worth it.  There are like 10 different minigames on it. My personal favorite mini-game is the cow racing, it is just so funny to watch them...

Wii Play
by
Nintendo Wii

What is it?
Wii Play is a game for the Nintendo Wii that also comes with a remote.  What makes this game so popular is that is just about the same price as a remote by itself.   So many people purchase it for the remote and the game as a bonus.

Wii Play has many different types of games for 1-2 players.

Games Include: Laser Hockey, Tanks, Charge (Cow Racing), Shooting Range, Table Tennis, Fishing, Billiards, Find Mii, Pose Mii.

My Viewpoint!
I'm not gonna lie.  I basically bought Wii play for the extra remote and not the games.  Might as well get the games for almost the same...

we bought this game/hardware when we bought our Wii. mostly because the Wii comes with ONE wiimote and one nun-chuck. this game includes another wiimote, so it's a good deal. i would recommend everyone get it at the same time they purchase their new Wii.
the games basically teach you all the ways to use your wiimote. it's a showcase, basically, for the features of the Wii.

the games are short and fun and lively. none of them is particularly addictive. they're fun for a few times. good for teaching people how to use the wii when they come over and want to try it out. my favorite is cow racing....

this game is good if your entertaining guests but not much fun for the regular gamer.

it gets boring really fast. you dont get to beat any levels, you pretty much just play for high scores and bragging rights.

you will lose all interest in these games very quickly. one good note, you do get quite a bit of exercise playing them. i believe these games are really designed to get you familiar with all the Wii remote controls.

this game is o.k but the games are very short.it should have more levels or something ,but it did fit the bill when we had a house of kids over for the day they ranged in age from 5 to 17 plus all us adult type people so the short  games made it easy for ever one to take turns and some of the games are very simple so every one has a fair chance.

This is great for kids and adults to play together. Also...great as an introduction to the Wii console.  Wii Play has a few choices that everybody can agree to play.  Fun for the family.

This game is great if you just got the Nintendo Wii.  It teaches you how to get used to using the WiiMote, and has some pretty cool mini-games.

But that's it.

When you first start the game you pick which one of your Mii's that you want to be, and then start playing the mini-games, which are: Shooting Range (Shoot the targets), Find Mii (Find the specified Mii[s]), Table tennis (Not what you expect.  All you have to do is move the racket in front of the ball.  That's it.), Pose Mii (Twist the WiiMote so that the Mii is in the right position), Laser Hockey (Like Air Hockey), Fishing (Very...

A Wii comes with 1 Wiimote and 1 Nunchuck, but 2 of each are really needed to truly enjoy the Wii.  There are basically two ways to get another Wiimote, buy one for $39.99 or buy Wii Play for $29.99 that has 6 games and a Wiimote.  Therefore, I got Wii Play to get a second Wiimote for my system and then purchased 2 additional Wiimotes and another Nunchuck separately.  Here are my thoughts on the Wii Play games:

  • Shooting Range - Very fun.  A lot like the old Duck Hunt game.  If you like this kind of thing, I would highly recommend the Wii Zapper with Link's Crossbow Training game.
  • Find Mii -...

This rating is based on the theory that this is a 10$ game bundled with a remote. Only worth buying because it comes with remote, other than that, it should be in the 15$ bin. I give this a 5 star fun rating because for 10$ (10$ game +40$ remote), you really get your money worth with multiplayer. I am going to review each mini game and then the game as a whole.

The games:
Shooting: Easily could have just turned this into duckhunt instead of releasing a real duckhunt game later this year. This game is a fun shooter, however the targets (once you played each level a few times) generally appear in...

The Wii Play for Nintendo Wii is a funny little item.  I saw used game resellers selling the game by itself for between 20 and 30 bucks.  The game is not worth this much, not even close.  The fact that you get a controller with it if you buy it new is the only way to justify the purchase of the game.  The game is kind of fun, but is no deeper then the Wii Sports game that comes with the console (personally I like the Wii Sports game better), plus the controller doesn't come with that nice white squishy jacket that comes with the controllers you buy on their own.  Overall, if I it to do over...

Thanks to the Nintendo Wii, you have another option that allows you to have fun and get exercise indoors, so get up off that couch, get those arms & legs moving, and try out Wii Play. It is okay by yourself, but much more fun with friends and family. So invite them over or go get a neighbor or friend if you aren't blessed with a spouse and / or kid(s). Wii Play is action-packed. You can try target practice, shooting at cans or birds or even tanks. You can try out fun games such as ping pong, pool, and even stimulate your brain with a neat matching or identifying game. There is also fishing and...

Nintendo Wii - Wii Play is fun to play but also sometimes too hard for a casual gamer.  A lot of the games require precise control of the remote and more patiencethan I have.  The strange  mix of games is fun and entertaining and makes Wii Play a good game for a party setting.  You can play futuristic table hockey or race a cow along a dirt track trying your best to hit everything you can.  The games are weird, but that is what makes it so fun.  Also, Nintendo Wii - Wii Play, has a shooting game that is reminiscentof Nintendo's early Duck Hunt, but perhaps not as violent since you are shooting...
