We bought Wii Play because we were looking for new, multiplayer games that my husband and I could enjoy together. We shelled out $49.99 plus tax at Target for just this disc of 9 games. Yes, we are suckers.

Wii Play is a collection of short games that can be played with 1 or 2 players. The games are: Shooting Range, Find Mii, Table Tennis, Pose Mii, Laser Hockey, Fishing, Billiards, Charge!, and Tanks! It used to come with a controller but these days it is just the disc of games.

There are a few fun games in this collection. Shooting Range is an updated version of Duck Hunt and something that everyone always enjoys. Laser Hockey is also fun but very challenging, at least for me. My husband really enjoys the billiards (pool) Wii Play game, but it is extremely difficult for someone like me who isn't an accomplished pool player. We both like Charge! because it is just a silly and fun game of riding cows through a course. We probably play Charge! more than anything else.

Games that are obnoxious and/or mediocre include Find Mii, Table Tennis, Pose Mii, Fishing, and Tanks. I've played "Find Mii" probably 50 times and still can't beat level 5. I find that insulting. The other games are easy enough to play but somewhat boring. We just don't play them any longer.

$50 for Wii Play is highway robbery. We were so excited to have our Wii that we just bought a couple of games at Target without really researching them. Now that we are stuck with it, I feel the need to warn other Wii players about it.  Borrow Wii Play from a friend.  Rent it from the local video shop if you must.  Just don't shell out $50 for this inferior set of Wii games.  Trust me.

My kids were clamoring for this game, but I wasn't sure it was really worth the whopping $50 price tag. Now I'm glad I balked at it!

In response to kid-kansas's comment from Jun 7, 2008 at 1:03AM:

yes, Wii Sports came with the system. We bought Wii Play at Target. Some of them were bundled with another controller but ours was just the game. Not worth $50.

I thought it was Wii Sports they bundled with the Wii? Wii Play is similar but is different games...Anyway I never bought the Wii Play because my son has it and I didn't think it worth $50 even when they were giving you a controller with it....Wii Play is Wii not gonna buy to me. ;)

This came with my bundle and I completely forgot to even see what is on the DVD! I have been totally caught up with Wii Fit. I should at least LOOK at the game since I have it. lol.
