Resident Evil 4 for the Wii console doesn't disappoint. The game diverges from the traditional zombie foes into a cult called Los Iluminados. Because of this, many of the enemies are not as creepy looking as those of the past, but some definitely are. Namely, the monsters that pop up towards the final chapters, which have spikes protruding from their bodies and are very hard to kill, especially since they can regrow body parts. The chainsaw-wielders are also no joke, being able to kill you with a swift decapitation. There were a few unexpected pop-ups from enemies that even made me jump. The Wii console offers a new way of playing by having you shake the main controller in a certain manner while holding another button in order to reload your weapons. The controller also allows you to knife swipe at nearby enemies (although I wouldn't suggest you do so with enemies more threatening than the villagers at the beginning, unless you've run out of ammo). Using this "knife," you can also activate bear traps to avoid walking in them. There are many fun aspects to this game, too many to name, but some things that I don't think have been present in most or any of the other games. I'll leave this with an example of an activity that my friend particularly enjoyed, which was that of fishing. In one part of the game, Leon Kennedy finds himself at a lake and before he ventures further into it, he can fish towards the dock. Let me just say that my friend spent way more time than was necessary on this level. Of course, this wasn't a complete waste as she was able to collect numerous fish and put them in her case to use for increasing her health in later parts of the game. In short, the game is awesome and usually not very expensive new, if you go to a GameStop or something.
