So my wife got my kids a Wii for Cristmas last year. All fine and dandy for the wee ones, but the game selection for the adults was rather lackluster. That's when I noticed an old love, Samus staring at me one day when I went to get my son the newest Poke'mon adventure.

I was greeted with awsome right off the bat, amazing graphics, music, a very simple yet extravagent control interface. And thats all the first 2 minutes. within the hour I'm blasting my way through space pirates, saving Galactic forces peons from ending up as goo, and using my brain to move ahead. That's right I said brain. The game has these puzzles that actually require you to put down your gun for a few minutes and think. A real step outside of the FPS norm.

So, in review of my review. Metroid Prime: Corruption earns a 4 out of 5. It's imersive nature and step away from the usual gun and run is refreshing. The story keeps you playing, and new weapons and abilities will keep the game fresh from start to finish.
