I am in love with our Nintendo Wii.  My husband is more of a playstation person, but I have always been a Nintendo fan.  I just never really got into the shooting and killing games, I like my cartoons and puzzle games.  So naturally, I had to get a Wii right when they came out.  Since I...

I think it's ironic that I'm reviewing yet another Mario game on Viewpoints here especially in the last one I really complained a lot about the weak visuals and lack of depth, eh? OK, I don't want to drop the hammer just yet so I'll give it a chance. Ever since the Mario Party series got its start...

I think that this game is so fun and easy for all who play. It is self explanotory and the games are a lot of fun! You can unlock a bunch of new levels and play with new characters. It isn't very expensive, but you can definately spend a good amount of time, because it is time consuming to complete a game. I would recommend this game for any age. I think that even adults would enjoy this game.(well being an adult myself, i do enjoy the game)

This is the game we pull out when friends come over.  It's fun and interactive and easy for anyone to play, even those not into video games.  However, for those who are highly competetive, this may not be the game for you.  It does require a little bit of viciousness at times, and it might put your relationships at risk.  If you think you can handle the challenge, pick up the remote and go!

Mario Party 8 is so much fun!  We all fight over who gets to play though... being a family of 5 there is always one person left out which is really sad.  Usually we'll have the youngest who is 4 (now) jump to hit the dice for many of our turns while we play the actual game.  When dad is at work though the kids and I go crazy.  We love all the Mario Party games but there is one or two annoying things about Mario Party 8.  The sounds!!!  Horrible.  Why they made Donkey Kong sound like a pompous rear end, with that fake laugh of his... I have no idea!  And the "Host" same voice... WHY?!?!?! ... review »

Okay, first of all, this review is biased to a player of every Mario Party published. Now, with that being said, this a good game. It keeps up all the great things that we have grown to love with the series, while enhancing a few aspects, most notably adding the motion sensitive mini games. The single player mode of this game will bore you to tears after a few hours of play, but is a necessary evil to unlock some extras, i.e. Playable characters, awards and an extra board. The group play will enthrall you, especially if you are looking for that "family night" game to bring everyone together. My... review »

I love Mario Party 8. Seriously. I'm the superstar.

The game is pretty basic. You have a board and you try to make it to the end -- wherever that may be -- collecting stars along the way. Whichever player has the most stars at the end wins the game.

After every roll and each of the four players has advanced, there are mini-games, which really utilize the wiimote [[also known as the control]]. You can play one-on-one; two-on-two; free for all; or a bonus game where you win coins and no one loses. Those games are really fun because you're never sure what game is coming up and you really get to...

Our family loves this game.  Our entire family can play this game and have fun.  My son is age 5 and can play most of the mini games without help.  My daughter is age 3 and has difficulty on some of the mini games but still loves it.  The game is like a board game where you hit the die and move around on the board.  The kids love it because they can do it all by themselves.  The mini games are a mix of slightly difficult to very easy.  Some of the games just involve shaking the remote which is so much fun for the kids.  When the winner is announced at the end it is always a suprise because...

This is one of my favorite games for the Wii.  I get bored easily with long games that you really have to concentrate on, but having the majority of this game made up of fun little mini-games keeps me entertained.

My husband and I will occasionally have a couple of drinks and laugh hysterically as we play Wario and Waluigi... whether those two are as funny/creepy sober, I do not know...

The games range from easy to pretty difficult.  There is one that involves a monkey and a tree (I think... did I mention we usually play this after drinking?!?) and it is rediculously hard.  Its generally the only...

I have always been a fan of Mario party and Nintendo Wii - Mario Party 8 delivers again!  This is a great game to play with a bunch of people or even by yourself.  The several game boards are unique and each have their own twist on how the game is played.  In one board the stars are always moving, while on another board you buy property to earn stars.

In Nintendo Wii - Mario Party 8, the mini-games have a nice variety and are super fun.  The game definitely takes advantage of the way the Wii remotes capture the player's motion.  Whether you are pulling carrots from a garden or scrubbing paint...

This game is a lot of fun.  I've always been a Mario Party lover.  My husband surprised me with this game and I have a lot of fun playing with other adults and my two young children(ages 1 and 3). I just play the mini game arcade with my children because they have a hard time pointing the finger on the screen to roll the dice and eat the  candy and such on the board games, but they love playing games where all you have to do is shake or move the remote.  The board game competition is my favorite part. I enjoy playing against other adults and the competition it sparks. I like that there is... review »

I bought this game as a 27 years old adult, because its one game I can play with the kids, and not get my butt kicked by the older ones, and still giving the younger kids a chance to play also.  This is a great game for all ages.  Its very similar to the other games in this series but its well worth the investment.  Its a different gaming experience everytime you play.  It can be played by my family of 4 all at once too, which is why this is one of my favorite party games.  You dont have the kids screaming and fighting over whos turn it is, or who has been playing longer.  No very education,... review »

wii mario party 8 is a good multiplayer game but i did not enjoy the single player mode. we had fun but you need one controller per person, you cannot share controllers like you can with wii sports bowling. the minigames are good fun. the bonuses will keep you playing for more. wish it had better boards though. the best one by far is the one where you buy hotels, the others are rather repetitive and bland. there is good use of the wiimote, although some games are unresponsive or overly-responsive. the graphics are fair. good enough, but hardly ground-breaking. the colors are sometimes a little... review »

For a first try at a "party-style" game for the Wii, Mario Party 8 does a decent job at providing a fun atmosphere.  When you first start playing, the controls are confusing.  After the first 5 minutes, though, it becomes much easier.  The mini-games are the true strength of this title; however, they could have done a much better job with how many and what type of mini-games there were.  There is also a lack of boards for such a new title.  With only 5 boards, it leaves a lot to wish for.  While the controls for the games are unique, the title leaves a lot to be desired.  For a party, this... review »

I was first hesitant to try this game out because I thought it was for kids.  But when I played it for the first time, I had a blast.  Your objective is to collect more stars then your opponents.  There are 5 or 6 levels to choose from and many Nintendo characters to choose from.  You can play with 3 of your friends or play alone with the single player story mode.  I'm in my early 20's and I have friends that will enjoy this game with me, we'll play the game for hours and each game gets intense and interesting.  Reviews only go so far, I recommend playing the game to find out first hand.
