I am in love with our Nintendo Wii. My husband is more of a playstation person, but I have always been a Nintendo fan. I just never really got into the shooting and killing games, I like my cartoons and puzzle games. So naturally, I had to get a Wii right when they came out. Since I got addicted to previous Mario Party games, I had to purchase Mario Party 8 when it came out for the Nintendo Wii.
This is a unique version of Mario party because it is the only Mario Party that has come out for the Wii. As we all know, the Wii is an interactive video gaming system. It actually puts you in the game as your motions reflect what the character on the screen does. It sounds a lot more difficult than it actually is because my toddler can easily pick up on how to do it, and it shows you on the screen before you play.
There are a lot of different games you can play on Mario Party 8. The main game you will play a "board game" and after everyone takes their turn you will play a mini game. You need to start here because you have to earn the minigames for the whole game right here. After you earn the minigames you can play them anywhere else.
The only downfall to this game is earning the minigames. I have spent countless hours playing the board game to try and earn them all. Everytime we have friends or family over we like to play the mini games just for fun, so it is nice to have a variety. I do like that there are so many games to choose from.
If you have a Nintendo Wii, I recommend you definately give Mario Party 8 a try, you will not regret it!
