Most HelpfulMy husband wanted this bad. In fact, every boy seems to be initially attracted to this game. They play for an hour total, max, and then mysteriously no longer touch the thing. There is something attractive about driving games, expecially when you get to have a steering wheel. Brings on nostalgia...
read full review »I definately have to say that Mario Kart Wii is the best game out for the Nintendo Wii. I have always been a huge fan of the Mario Kart games just because I think I really like the car racing video games. They have always been easy for me. My mother who owns a Nintendo Wii bought this game the day that it came out. She raved about how much she liked the game we ended up buying it the next day.
The game retails for $49.99 and the nice thing about this is that it comes with one racing wheel. You can purchase additional wheels for $10-$15. You do not need the wheel to...

This is the best video game I could recommend for us Atari babies.
I think Mariokart Wii is such a great game. I have a three-year-old who loves to play it, which is amazing to me that he CAN play it. It's a challenge for him, but it's also a challenge for grown-ups with lots of ways to change the difficulty level. When you win races at three different CC levels on the karts you win more karts and characters. I also like the bright colors -- who said so many video games have to be so dark. It's been a great family activity at our house. It's also been fun (and sometimes frustrating) to watch my three-year-old play because he doesn't care if he wins. He has...
read full review »Dating back to the SNES days, Mario Kart is one of Nintendo's longest running franchises, and every new generation of Nintendo's consoles brings with it a new Mario Kart. Coming after the absolute masterpiece that was Mario Kart Double Dash for the Gamecube and a solid portable showing for the Nintendo DS, the Wii incarnation of Mario Kart has some pretty big shoes to fill. In most ways, it fills them very well.
Mario Kart Wii is built around the use of the Wii Wheel, which is a small plastic shell that fits around the Wii Remote and acts as a steering wheel, allowing the player to control the...
My husband and I love our Nintendo Wii. I am not an avid gamer, but I do enjoy a good Mario Bros. game every now and again. Mario Kart, however, is a different story. I find I have to force myself to stop playing so I can focus on things around the house that need to get done (dishes, laundry, etc.). I could easily play this all day!
I enjoy choosing my favorite characters and the bike/cart I get to drive (my fave is the Quacker for lightweight characters - not just because it's a duck, but it handles amazingly well, also - the Mach Bike for middle weight is a close second). To be honest,...

The Wii Wheel transforms the Wii Remote™ controller into a steering wheel that feels natural in anyone's hands, while the Wii Remote and Nunchuk™ controller offer a classic control style for the Mario Kart veteran. In either configuration, players can perform speed-boosting tricks with a shake of the Wii Remote.
Players can race as their favorite Nintendo character, or even as themselves! Mario Kart Wii lets players race with their personalized Mii™ characters. And racers will see other Mii characters...

Though I really think them flying shells are evil incarante. they make me SO mad! I swear you get hit 5 times in a row lol. No bitterness here I swear! =) Anyway I really do enjoy mario kart and so do my husband, kiddos and neighbors, random odd strangers.. You get the point. If you playing more then 1 person I recomend getting the wii wheel for all controllers much easier then just using the controller. (They run about 9.99 at places like kmart)
Okay, first off, let me say, I've always been a fan of Mario. I have Mario Kart DS, and I absolutely love it. But, for some reason, I just can't get into this game.
For the most part, this really is a great game. Racing games are always fun. The tracks are ah-mazing. The graphics and sound are also breathtaking. What is a little repetitive, though, what with the four different difficulty levels: 50cc, 100cc, 150cc, and 150cc Mirror Class (which I haven't played in; I'm pretty bad at this game.) For each level, you have to repeat the races over again. In some levels you can only use...

Wii Mario Kart seems faster-paced than before, but with some of the classic thrills, chills, and banana peel spill from Mario Kart predecessors. Now there's also the option for online game play. The graphics are even better than ever, too. You can even personalize the game a step further and play as your Mii--a character you can create in the Wii home menu.
Using the steering...
read full review »Mario Kart Wii is a great party game and nearly a must have if you're a mario fan. This game allows the use of 4 different controllers, and the wii wheel is included. The wheel is an accesory for the wiimote so you can steer your kart by turning the wheel. The controls for the wheel are surprisinugly very responsive, but it does take some getting used to. There are 16 new tracks as well as 16 from the previous series. Also, you can choose to use bikes or karts as well. The differences are that bikes and do wheelies, but karts get a bigger drifting boost. A drifiting boost is when...

This game is absolutely fantastic! It's also very easy to become addicted. I'll be honest, I'm not a big fan of spending more than $20 for a video game, so of course, I didn't spend the full $50 for it, but it's $40 well spent. I'm sure it's already paid for itself.
I thought I was satisfied with just playing the game itself, but I've actually...
