I'm probably one of the last people to pick up this game. Of course, I had to get a 2nd Wii wheel. I listened to my friends tell me for months how great this game was. I always wanted it, but always found an excuse to not get it. WHAT A MISTAKE!!
This game is absolutely fantastic! It's also very easy to become addicted. I'll be honest, I'm not a big fan of spending more than $20 for a video game, so of course, I didn't spend the full $50 for it, but it's $40 well spent. I'm sure it's already paid for itself.
I thought I was satisfied with just playing the game itself, but I've actually enjoyed playing against unknown people online. This is a feature that's not available on all Wii games. So I sacrificed a lot of the geeky gaming stuff in order to play more interactive games and not just push buttons. Granted, it doesn't get you moving like Wii Sports, but it's still really cool.
I've never had more fun failing at something in my life. And I'll admit, I'm a complete disaster on Rainbow Road, but it doesn't matter. Several months later, this is still one of my favorite games for the Wii.
I love this game so much that I look for opportunities to give it as a gift so that others in my life can enjoy it as much as I do. And I typically don't really get into what I consider "kiddie" games. I like the violent, mature games. In fact, this is the only "E" rated game I own. But after listening to my friends and co-workers talk nonstop about how great it was (along with my boyfriend's nonstop begging), I finally picked it up. It's definitely a purchase I don't regret. It's definitely one of my top two games for the Wii.
