Nintendo Wii - Mario Kart Review

  We tried this game, and are hooked.

  It lets you choose your character, and then your car. There are many different tracks, with all kinds of obstacles and such. I had a hard time when I spun around to get myself going back in the same direction. But I had fun trying.

  While the main race is going on, up to the right, it shows you the track and everyones progress, and where you are in the mix. It shows the shape of the track, so you have an idea of when the turns will be coming.

  The races are challenging, and you'll get a kick out of watching where you are or watch yourself and someone else you're playing with duke it out on the track.

  The details aren't as involved as the other game systems, but I would choose interactivity over details any day. They aren't bad. Just not as graphic.

  We played without a wheel first, then my husband tried it WITH a wheel. He said he liked it a little better with. You can still play without one, like I did. All you do is use the wimote like awheel, and turn it. It isn't hard at all. But I guess if you need MORE of the experience, you should get the wheel. I've seen tehm for as little as 10 bucks.
