I recently became the proud owner of a Nintendo Wii. I am typically not a gamer, but the true physically interactive capabilities of the Wii intrigued me. With just the flick of the wrist, it is easy to roll the bowling ball, or return a tennis serve, or swing a golf club. Those are all fun activities,...

Our game disk (for my 9-year-old for Christmas) stopped working after three days.  I examined the back of the disk, and found a small bump (almost like a tiny pimple).  Tried it in other WII's, same problem.  No scratches, just the bump. But, since I pre-ordered the game (so I could have it for Christmas)... review »

My eleven year old son bought himself this game after Christmas, and now he has to fight the rest of us off of it!  The music is alone is great.  But the video game is so much fun!  Any skill level can play from beginner to the very advanced.  I haven't been able to get above the Medium skill level, but I don't get bored of it.  It's fun no matter where you are in the game.  It has an area to go to 'practice' the songs before you play a 'show'.  Even my six year old enjoys this game.  I think it's a great way to learn eye / hand coordination, and also gets the kids enjoying a lot of the... review »

The Guitar Hero series has only been around for a few years dudes and dudettes but these rocking games has been kicking so much a$$ that their legs are getting sore from all the beatings they been dishing out. Now we are officially up to part III in this wicked cool virtual guitar playing simulator here and it even comes for the Nintendo Wii for the first time ever too, baby! It's time to rip off that business suit or Hawaii shirt and put on some tightass leather and see if this old cougar can still rock your world, yeah!

If you are new to this GHit, well first off let me say where the hell have...

I am probably the most musically challenged person you would find and my fiance can play any instrument he picks up.  His favorite instrument? guitar, of course.

When I first heard that Guitar Hero III was coming out for the Wii I told him we had to get it.  It would be fun and maybe I could get some practice at keeping time.  He thought it would be lame and that guitar hero would be for people who don't want to take the time to learn to play the real thing.   I told it he was probably right and so it would be perfect for me.

When we got the game and I picked the name for my band, picked...

I was not sure I wanted to buy this for my grandsons at first but allowed them to talk me into it and I'm glad I did. They where able to hook it up in minutes and spent hours playing together with this game. My older grandson took the time to show his brother some tricks and they both enjoyed it. I thought that the music would drive me nuts but there are all kinds of songs. There where a few times that I had to tell them to turn down the sound but all in all it was not bad. They did not seem to have a problem with getting frustrated which I have seen them do with other games. I would recommend... review »

We bought the Wii and guitar hereo 2 weeks ago and we can hardly put it down.  Took it to my parents house and everyone there had a great time with it.  There are so many great songs, its hard not to get into it.  The only problem we have found was that periodically it freezes, which can be a big pain if your really into it, but it's an easy fix. Another great thing we like about the Wii/guitar hero combination is that we can play against others online for free.

I recently became addicted to the Guitar Hero video game so I purchase Guitar Hero III for our Nintendo Wii.  I was impressed with the song selection, and I was lucky to find a used copy of it for us at our local video game store.  This would have to be my second favorite out of all of them because the only reason I like the World Tour game better is because it has twice as many songs as any other addition.

The song selection is excellent on Guitar Hero III.  They have quite a few classic songs, as well as a bunch of challenging songs.  This is definately a game for families, as there are several...

Originally this game was bought for my husband and kids. I was intimidated by the guitar and I really didn't think it was anything I would enjoy. I failed my first song and I decided to just quit. However, once I decided to give it a "real" try and actually pay attention to what I was doing, I couldn't put it down. My wrist hurt so bad I was icing it down, yet I couldn't stop playing. I was so addicted! The songs make you want to crank up the volume and rock out. Our whole family was rocking out New Year's Eve only taking a small break to watch the ball drop! The songs seem hard even on easy at... review »

The game itself is absolutely AMAZING.  I gave it 5-stars, but honestly I'd only give it a 4½-stars.  The songs are great, but there are a few things keeping this game from being a 5-star game.  Guitar battles in my opinion absolutely ruin the game, in career mode anyway.  Another thing that sucks is that you can't play the guitar battle songs (from career mode) by themselves (as an actual song, not a guitar battle).  I was VERY disappointed and quite annoyed when "The Devil Went Down to Georgia" was only a guitar battle and I couldn't play it without playing it as a battle.

The game also...

OK....  I hate video games.  My son has had his Wii for a little less than a year and I think I have played in a handful of times.  I am not good at video games and I just don't like them.  That being said.  I tried Guitar Hero III.  I stink but I had fun.  I will definitely be playing when he is at school.  It is embarrassing when your 11 year old is better than you are at something.

This game seems to be very easy to learn which is a must for someone like me.  The songs bring back fond memories and even my husband was very pleased with the song selection.  (he is a music nut)....

Guitar Hero 3 is a great game to play. It has so many songs to choose from and is just a blast to play. There are of course the different skill levels to choose from depending on your abilities and there are different modes so you can play with a friend or battle legends of rock n roll in the boss battles. It has so many great songs to play and is so easy to pick up on, if you've never played before. The only negative thing I can think of about it is it can hurt your eyes if you stare at the screen too long, because of the scrolling screen, but only for a couples of seconds, it's not that big... review »

My boyfriend recently got the game and we end up playing it together at least once a week. At first I wasn't so sure how great it would be but it is so much fun. The music selection was great and it can get fairly difficult at times. I believe that Guitar Hero 3 is one of the best Guitar Hero's yet. I wish we could maybe put some new songs and have our own really good character design but all in all it's still a great game. With some games I would see that addiction is very bad but Guitar Hero is so much fun you would end up addicted to it.

This game is pretty fun. It is cool to feel like you are playing the guitar to some famailar songs. I like it but it makes my hands cramp pretty bad. I don't know if I am holding the guitar wrong or something but I can hardly get through one song without complaining about the cramping.

This is the first Guitar Hero that I own and I love it!  The controler works great, I often come home and "rock out".  The tracks are more obsure and more "metal" then I'd prefer..   looking forward to the newest version.
