Nintendo Wii - Guitar Hero III —

Originally this game was bought for my husband and kids. I was intimidated by the guitar and I really didn't think it was anything I would enjoy. I failed my first song and I decided to just quit. However, once I decided to give it a "real" try and actually pay attention to what I was doing, I couldn't put it down. My wrist hurt so bad I was icing it down, yet I couldn't stop playing. I was so addicted! The songs make you want to crank up the volume and rock out. Our whole family was rocking out New Year's Eve only taking a small break to watch the ball drop! The songs seem hard even on easy at first, but once you defeat the game on easy, it seems too simple and slow. Move up to medium and you have a new button to deal with, beat it again now you have to actually move your hand around the guitar! I was the first one to beat the game on medium! I can't finish a song on hard (yet) but in the meantime I'm having a blast playing the co-op mode and battles on line with strangers. Don't worry moms there's no microphone communication and you or your "little ones" are just jumping into battle another player for points! You can even have a friends list.Check out the website and get more info on songs or battles.I was blown away by this game and the wireless controller is such a bonus! If you are impatient and expect to just go in and finish the songs without practice, then I don't think this game is for you. But if you want to take your time and are willing to keep on trying while rocking to some cool songs, new and old, pick this game up. There is a practice mode along with quick play. Save your money from gigs and buy new guitars, outfits and characters! Midori rules!!!
