Most HelpfulThis new age unit here is a very small and slim gaming-only console that comes with new way to play video games and it is said to be three times more powerful then the Gamecube itself. We'll see.
If you do manage to find one (dam, the girl at Walmart said it would be much easier to get then the PS3)...

Most HelpfulI got a Wii about 2 months ago. My kids (5 and 7) loved it for about 2 weeks, and after that they don't play it so much. I loved the Wii Sports, but even that got old quickly and I find myself back to watching Cash Cab or playing WoW. So for us, the Wii turned into a very expensive paper weight.
A couple of years ago, the buzz was that Nintendo had decided it could no longer afford to compete with Sony and Microsoft in a third generation of super game platforms and that they were going to retrench to a smaller simpler niche.
While Sony and Microsoft threw massive amounts of money at there new offerings and introduced game platforms with some incredible graphic capability, Nintendo quietly struck out into a new direction and launched the Nintendo Wii.
Well, the people have spoken and anyone who had counted Nintendo down for the count have some pondering to do.
Nintendo did in fact go in a...

The Wii does that through the motion sensors that everyone knows about - but it's flexible enough to handle traditional gameplay. To me, that's the genius of the device - you can play most games of your childhood quickly and easily. Plus, there's a power button on the controller to turn on the console. I bought the DVD remote for my Playstation 2 because I couldn't handle having to walk across the room to turn it on to play Guitar Hero II.
I'm here to praise the...

Of course, we loved all the sports games that came with the Wii, but when we actually registered the Wii online thru Nintendo.com and link our system with the internet, we found a Whole other World Of Wii!! It has a virtual console in it where you can buy ALL the old school nintendo games for $5.00 each with Wii Points!! I was super excited to be able to buy Donkey Kong (a game that we used to play as...
read full review »I just LOVE Nintendo Wii. My son and I have so much fun playing games together that get us up and moving, such as baseball and bowling! Oh and I love boxing, especially when someone comes over and plays for the first time, its hilarious to watch them get into the whole boxing concept! I have to constantly remind them not to get to close to the TV so they don't actually hit it! I have to ask them to back up. Its funny to watch though.
The Wii allows you to connect to the internet through wifi. I can't tell you anything about this since I live in a rural area where there isn't broadband or...

I think this is overall a great video system. I don't really mind my son playing it for a few hours because he is not just sitting on the couch zoning out. Not that I think it is educational, but great for any child who needs a little excercise.
This is also a video system that adults alike can play and enjoy. We take it to family functions and have competitions against each other. It really brings the family together!
It was a litlle pricey, and so are some of the games, but it was well worth the money. I would defenitely recommened this product for anyone who...

I myself have recently been doing a lot of research as I just bought a Nintendo Wii system at Toys R' Us but had originally considered buying it on eBay (hence, the reason I created an account in the first place), so I got a pretty good grip on the prices. So let me break it down for you (keep in mind that this article relates only to brand new items):
A Nintendo Wii's retail value (as in just the box: the system bundled with a remote, a nunchuck and Wii Sports (5 sport...

After a couple of days letting the kids play, I decided to give it a try. First, I played the bowling game which I enjoy very much. Then I played the baseball game which I found extremely hard. But my favorite of all time is the tennis game! There are alot of different levels to play so you want become over whemled your first time. I love it because I desperately need to lose weight, but can't find the time. But when I...
