Wiiiiiiiiiiiiii! This thing is fun!

After messing around with our Nintendo Wii for the past week, I have to say that I am very happy with the purchase! Many of the games are interactive and require you to get up off of the couch and MOVE! Bowling, golf, ping pong, boxing, baseball, tennis, and Dance Dance Revolution are examples of games that you need to actually move around to play. I've worked up quite a sweat with boxing and Dance Dance Revolution. Sure, it isn't the same as actually running a couple of miles outside, but you are certainly burning more calories than you would with your butt parked on the couch.
The Nintendo Wii comes with only one set of controls, so you will probably need to buy another controller and Nunchuck. You also have to buy a memory card so you can save your progress with the memory-intensive games like Zelda and Medal of Honor. Of course, you also need to buy the games. We've paid anywhere between $30 and $70 per game which quickly adds up!
We've had an incredible amount of fun with our Nintendo Wii. The two of us have played it on week nights after dinner and it was a huge hit during our party over the weekend. (Yes, there were some cold beverages involved but that just made the whole thing funnier.) I consider this gaming system $250 well spent.
