Most HelpfulWhen a first time buyer of the Wii purchases this new and exciting game system they think, "Wow! This is gonna be awesome!".
The Wii is preceeded by societies greatest gaming systems all honed to a level of timeless perfection that which the past generation has nothing but words of awe for.
But does the...
We bought this for our kids 2 years ago when it first came out. We waited in line at 5:00 in the morning 3 weeks for Christmas to get one of these new hottest game systems. To be honest I wasn't sure that it was going to worth the wait. Since then, we have gotten many different games for this system including the WII Fit. My kids obsolutely love it. We have to pry my 5 year old away from it daily. It is not like other game systems where they just sit on the couch like a vegetable and move the controller. It really makes them have to get up and move around. My youngest will many times...
review »"Wii would like to play!"
A common phrase heard when you think of the Nintendo Wii system. This little game console was the most anticipated product that many people have been wanting since it's unveiling under the name of Nintendo Revolution. Back then a lot of people still felt the pain from the previous system known as the Nintendo GameCube which had limited graphics and didn't offer online play.
The Nintendo Wii made milestones with it's wireless Wiimote which gives users of the system the chance to experience an active role in the games they are playing. The System comes bundled with it's...
review »I am probably what many would consider a very strict mom when it comes to TV and gaming so when my son asked for a Wii for his birthday I did lots of research. We do not allow any type of violent or sexually explicit games into our home. Unlike many gaming systems, the Nintendo Wii has games geared more towards kids including very young children along with other games for the older crowd. I really liked the variety it included.
Another thing that realy sold me on the Wii was that it was interactive and required physical movement. I was a little skeptical at first because we had bought the eye...
review »I had purchased the Nintendo Wii System after being at my parents home and realizing this game system is actually good for you! I had always had video games in my home for my children and felt that it was not healthy that they would just sit there all day and basically vegitate. I was not too sure when I saw the Wii system on television but when you actually play , you know you are getting a workout and it is just so fun. You cant hellp but laugh at yourself and others when you realize the characters in the game represent you. You become a person in the game you choose your look and I have to...
review »Our family absolutely loves the Nintendo Wii. This game console has something for everyone in the family. From exercise, music, games, brain builders, there's pretty much nothing you can't do. One of our favorite games to play on the Nintendo Wii is Wii Fit. Believe it or not, Wii Fit can give you a VERY good workout, all in the privacy of your own home. No expensive gyms needed!!! You get everything from Cardio, Strength Training, Balance Training, Stretching, and even a nice Cool Down section. Great program for the whole family. We also love playing Guitar Hero on the Nintendo...
review »In regards to the Nintendo Wii, I must say that it is the greatest group gaming system I have ever had the pleasure of playing. My partner and I often play involving one player games that require hours of play to "complete missions" and "level up." The Wii offers several games he and I have been able to play solo, together, and also with other friends and family.
The controls also make this system user friendly for the non-gamers. For example, my partner and I took our Wii to my parents' house one evening. My father is nearing 60 and has difficulty with computers; the...
review »i love the wii it is on of the greatest games around, as far as i am concerned and so many can use . my son likes the sim games but is also enjoying the games that get you moving. i was very suprised at this as he is a really lazy couch potato. my favorite games are the ones that get you moving they are working wonders on my blood sugars and i get healthier also so it is doing the job of several things to boot no more gym for me either. sif you buy this game system you can have tonsof fun get exercise and save money if your smart. the only bad part of this game system is getting to use it if there...
review »The Nintendo Wii is by far the most innovative console out there! This revolutionary game system allows the video game challenged, (such as myself) to experience gaming in a whole new way. It allows not only the kids to have a great time, but the whole family. Even you 70 year old grandma will find the Wii to be a thoroughly enjoying and exciting, good time. In our troubled times where over half of our kids are obese, and aren't really playing outside hardly at all. It is refreshing to see this game system that is making exercise something we want to do and loads of fun. If you haven't tried...
review »The first time i saw a commercial for the Wii i was absolutely amazed by just the idea that you could play a game, and actually play it.It was so great to even just imagine that i could get up and do movements that the game would echo back on the screen, so i could actually really be in the game and not just sit down like a drone playing with a controller like any other game console, (i.e. the xbox, playstation... etc.)
I love the Wii for so many reasons, and of the course the obvious movement requirements come to mind. But i believe that the Wii really helps your hand-eye coordination, you really...
review »My first video game console was a Nintendo in the 80s. After upgrading to a Sega Genesis and later onto XBOX 360 and evrything in between. I believe it is safe to say that the Wii is in a class of its own. As my soundbite states, "This System Rocks." Nintendo has bridge the gap between the very youthful and the youthful at heart. This game console is no longer just that. It is a way of life. I hardly play video games on it. I mainly use it to exercise. The main reason why many adults own a Wii. To be able to workout in the privacy of your home is awesome. You can workout at your own pace and...
review »The Nintendo Wii was designed from the beginning to be non-conventional. It is definitely original, but not the best choice for everyone. If you are looking for the best console in terms of advanced graphics, latest cpu technology, anything measured in numbers, or the best online multiplayer experience, then stop reading and look for a PS3 or Xbox 360. If on the other hand, you are looking for something fun, easy to learn and that can be shared with everyone (yes, everyone means my whole family, including parents, grandparents, small cousins, my in-laws). You can definitely expect everyone to have...
review »It's generally no problem finding a Wii nowadays, but early last year we were thrilled when we finally went to a store and found one actually on the shelf! Our first game was Tiger Woods golf, which we'd enjoyed on the Gamecube. It was great to have a controller that worked the way I'd always tried to use other controllers in the past - by waving them or shaking them in the direction I wanted to go! ;) My husband always poked fun at me for that! The sensor bar sensitivity was a little troublesome, though, and your golf swing was often misread. However, part of that was because of bugginess in that...
review »We purchased a Wii for our son for his 7th birthday. He had broken his dominant arm just a few weeks before and was having a very difficult time dealing with his new limitations. We thought the Wii would allow him the opportunity to play a video game (the systems we had before didn't allow for one handed operation) while he was still without the use of his arm, and hoped it would offer physical therapy that he could enjoy. We were spot on with it being something he would enjoy and be able to do with one arm, it has been a HUGE hit not only with him but with our whole family. When our son...
