In South Korea, it is known as the Super Comboy and was distributed by Hyundai Electronics. Although each version is essentially the same, several forms of regional lockout prevent direct compatibility. ... I used to own the Super Nintendo and believe me it was a great console it has so many classics on it. The classic games such as Donkey Kong Country Series, Mario series, Killer Instant i could go on and on.

Nintendo Super NES is a fourth generation 16-bit video console developed and manufactured by Nintendo. It was released for retail on November 21, 1990 in Japan; August 1991 in North America; April 11, 1992 in Europe; and July 3, 1992 in Australia. It is the successor to the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) and introduced advanced graphics and sound capabilities.

Features

The Super NES is built with a Ricoh 5A22, based on a 16-bit 65c816 core as its central processing unit that features DMA and HDMA, Timed IRQ, parallel I/O processing and hardware multiplication and division. Besides that, the picture processing unit (PPU) consists of two separate but closely tied IC packages that contain 64 kB of SRAM for storing video data (VRAM), 544 bytes of object attribute memory (OAM) for storing sprite data, and 512 bytes of colour generator RAM (CGRAM) for storing palette data. Images may be output at 256 or 512 pixels horizontal resolution and 224, 239, 448, or 478 pixels vertically. Meanwhile, its audio subsystem consists of an 8-bit PC700, a 16-bit DSP, 64 kB of SRAM shared by the two chips, and a 64 byte boot ROM. In addition, it also built with 128 kB DRAM. It was designed in grey colour schemes which vary depending on the region. All versions incorporate a top-loading slot for game cartridges, although the shape of the slot differs between regions to match the different shapes of the cartridges. Its controller features two additional face buttons to the design of the NES iteration, arranging the four in a diamond shape, and introduces two shoulder buttons.

The system is so reliable all the time i owned this it never broke on me neither did the cartridges. I got rid of the SNES which i regret but i still do play the games on my computer with an emulator or i download the games on my Wii.  I own many video game system, and the SNES was the highlight of perfection from the last 30 years of gaming in my opinion.
