Although Nintendo Wii owners were left in the cold when it came to the highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto IV (it would be so cool to use the Wii-mote to carjack someone, eh?), Nintendo didn't just sit on their butts and let some other systems get all the attention though. Every Nintendo system needs... review »

My husband wanted this bad.  In fact, every boy seems to be initially attracted to this game.  They play for an hour total, max, and then mysteriously no longer touch the thing.  There is something attractive about driving games, expecially when you get to have a steering wheel.  Brings on nostalgia...

I definately have to say that Mario Kart Wii is the best game out for the Nintendo Wii.  I have always been a huge fan of the Mario Kart games just because I think I really like the car racing video games.  They have always been easy for me.  My mother who owns a Nintendo Wii bought this game the day that it came out.  She raved about how much she liked the game we ended up buying it the next day.

The game retails for $49.99 and the nice thing about this is that it comes with one racing wheel.  You can purchase additional wheels for $10-$15.  You do not need the wheel to...

Any fan of the mario kart games will enjoy this new racer on the Wii! The makers have incorporated tracks from the previous mario games(64, double dash, etc)and even include a "wheel". While the wheel is a nice novelty that my son enjoys using, I find that my husband and I prefer to use the nunchuk and wii-mote. Some of the races are tough, yet fun! fun! fun! and it doesn't pay to consistently run in first place as you're CONSTANTLY bombarded by shells, lightening, and anything else your competitors throw at you(First Place Frustration!!!). If you're quick you can put up a defense, except for that... review »

I am a 36 year old woman and I am addicted to Mario Cart. My whole family shares in playing reach race--we switch the wheel during the circuits. It's so much fun! The wheel is accurate, the graphics excellent and I am on a mission to improve my rating.

This is the best video game I could recommend for us Atari babies.

I think Mariokart Wii is such a great game. I have a three-year-old who loves to play it, which is amazing to me that he CAN play it. It's a challenge for him, but it's also a challenge for grown-ups with lots of ways to change the difficulty level. When you win races at three different CC levels on the karts you win more karts and characters. I also like the bright colors -- who said so many video games have to be so dark. It's been a great family activity at our house. It's also been fun (and sometimes frustrating) to watch my three-year-old play because he doesn't care if he wins. He has...

Dating back to the SNES days, Mario Kart is one of Nintendo's longest running franchises, and every new generation of Nintendo's consoles brings with it a new Mario Kart. Coming after the absolute masterpiece that was Mario Kart Double Dash for the Gamecube and a solid portable showing for the Nintendo DS, the Wii incarnation of Mario Kart has some pretty big shoes to fill. In most ways, it fills them very well.

Mario Kart Wii is built around the use of the Wii Wheel, which is a small plastic shell that fits around the Wii Remote and acts as a steering wheel, allowing the player to control the...

My husband and I love our Nintendo Wii.  I am not an avid gamer, but I do enjoy a good Mario Bros. game every now and again.  Mario Kart, however, is a different story.  I find I have to force myself to stop playing so I can focus on things around the house that need to get done (dishes, laundry, etc.).  I could easily play this all day!

I enjoy choosing my favorite characters and the bike/cart I get to drive (my fave is the Quacker for lightweight characters - not just because it's a duck, but it handles amazingly well, also - the Mach Bike for middle weight is a close second).  To be honest,...

Mario Kart for the Nintendo Wii was one of the games I was excited for when I bought the system. I live in a household full of gamers and we are very thorough when we go to buy video games. On lots of gaming sites it didn't get very good reviews so I was skeptical so I went to my local video rental store and rented it for a day. Once my roommates and I got the hang of it we couldn't put it down. It was so much fun and it is suitable for younger kids also. My little sister liked to play around with the wheel that hooks with your wii remote. You definitely feel like you are driving and I figured... review »

I and my family LOVE this game. It is great. The steering wheel feature is the best yet.  The roads are challenging and fun. Though  I really think them flying shells are evil incarante. they make me SO mad! I swear you get hit 5 times in a row lol.  No bitterness here I swear! =)  Anyway I really do enjoy mario kart and so do my husband, kiddos and neighbors, random odd strangers.. You get the point. If you playing more then 1 person I recomend getting the wii wheel for all controllers much easier then just using the controller. (They run about 9.99 at places like kmart)

Okay, first off, let me say, I've always been a fan of Mario.  I have Mario Kart DS, and I absolutely love it.  But, for some reason, I just can't get into this game.

For the most part, this really is a great game.  Racing games are always fun.  The tracks are ah-mazing. The graphics and sound are also breathtaking.  What is a little repetitive, though, what with the four different difficulty levels: 50cc, 100cc, 150cc, and 150cc Mirror Class (which I haven't played in; I'm pretty bad at this game.)  For each level, you have to repeat the races over again.  In some levels you can only use...

Mario Kart Wii is a great party game and nearly a must have if you're a mario fan.  This game allows the use of 4 different controllers, and the wii wheel is included.  The wheel is an accesory for the wiimote so you can steer your kart by turning the wheel.  The controls for the wheel are surprisinugly very responsive, but it does take some getting used to.  There are 16 new tracks as well as 16 from the previous series.  Also, you can choose to use bikes or karts as well.  The differences are that bikes and do wheelies, but karts get a bigger drifting boost.  A drifiting boost is when...

I'm probably one of the last people to pick up this game.  Of course, I had to get a 2nd Wii wheel.  I listened to my friends tell me for months how great this game was.  I always wanted it, but always found an excuse to not get it.  WHAT A MISTAKE!!

This game is absolutely fantastic!  It's also very easy to become addicted.  I'll be honest, I'm not a big fan of spending more than $20 for a video game, so of course, I didn't spend the full $50 for it, but it's $40 well spent.  I'm sure it's already paid for itself.

I thought I was satisfied with just playing the game itself, but I've actually...

I own every MarioKart game regardless of platform and this one blows them all away!

The first thing that surprised me was exactly how many choices you have to customize your gaming experience. You can choose from like 24 loveable Mario characters or your Miis to race. There are, I think, 36 different karts/bikes to choose from to race in. The biggest plus of all, however, is the tracks! 16 new courses that are truly amazing, especially everyone's favorite - Rainbow Road! The 16 classic courses were well chosen, and are just as fun as ever with a new graphic update.

The gameplay itself makes it so...

We tried this game, and are hooked.

It lets you choose your character, and then your car. There are many different tracks, with all kinds of obstacles and such. I had a hard time when I spun around to get myself going back in the same direction. But I had fun trying.

While the main race is going on, up to the right, it shows you the track and everyones progress, and where you are in the mix. It shows the shape of the track, so you have an idea of when the turns will be coming.

The races are challenging, and you'll get a kick out of watching where you are or watch yourself and someone...

As soon as I purchased the wii console I had to purchase this game.  I have played many of the mario cart games, and was itching to play with the new controller.  I had to adjust to the new controls at first. I found it very difficult at first.  I almost gave up and used the classic controls.  However, I decided to give it a little bit more time before I gave up on it.  I now prefer the new controls to the older one.  It makes me get into the game so much more. And, I find that it is easier to control once you get used to it. The game is very fun played on the two player mode. This is how...
