Why we love this system (PROS): We purchased the system as a Christmas gift in 2002  for our children to enjoy. and we are still using it. Our family is very impressed with the game cube system. We enjoy swapping out games for new or used games at the gaming stores. The game… read full review »

Choosing the game system: — Our family began the quest for a video game system when our son was 7, showed interest (and the actual ability) to play video games. We chose (luckily my father-in-law bought it for our son's 7th birthday, and asked which system we thought he would like) the… read full review »

Nintendo finally ditches its long running cartridge format that served them well for over 16 years and goes with a new Mini CD rom based console that was once called Project Dolphin. The less wussy sounding Gamecube has over 300 games available like Luigi's Mansion, Resident Evil 4, and Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3 to 8 plus there are a bunch of cool accessories for it as well. The GC was famous for being cheaper and has a faster speed processor that the highly popular PlayStation2 so there are some cool things to say about the machine but it isn't perfect though and you should be careful before… read full review »

My three kids have had a great time playing different games on the Game Cube.  There is a lot of variety in what you can buy to play.  We have stuck with the ones for ages 5-10.  Their favorite are the Legos Star Wars game.  — After about 11 months we started having problems with the cube not reading the game discs.  Sometimes it woiuld work other times it would not.  I attempted to contact the makers and had a difficult time.  Once the cube no longer works you are stuck with a bunch of game discs that will not work in other systems.  Be… read full review »

I got my GameCube in 2002. I have had it ever since then. I have been playing the games on it and buying new ones for it. The GameCube has a great diversity for games. There are many unquie titles for the console. Including Baten Kaitos games and many new Mario games. The first appearence of Animal Crossing, Lost Kingdoms, and Eternal Darkness. Sonic and harvest moon continued there way onto the console. The console itself is very study and can take a hit every once and a while (like being carried around in a backpack and falling off the counter). It has a good shape and because of it can fit… read full review »

I love my GameCube as much as any of my earlier Nintendo consoles and the wii. Of course the graphics aren't as good Nintendo is more concerned with gameplay rather than graphics, if you're graphics hungry try an xbox or ps3. For what it is it's awesome There are tons of great games my favorites being Resident Evil 4 and Animal Crossing. It's also pretty cheap now days too which is a plus for someone who cant afford to pay a lot for a quality system. The price is around $50 I think and any games you buy for it will be compatible with a wii if you ever decide to upgrade. I… read full review »

Having been a Nintendo fan all my life, I had to get this. And I don't regret choosing it over a PS2 or X-Box. — — I'm not sure what may have caused the technical issues others have mentioned, as I've yet to encounter them myself. My only problem was that, while "Wind Waker" (the only "Legend of Zelda" game for the Gamecube unless you count the compilation disc) wasn't bad, it didn't quite stack up to its predecessors (then again, "Ocarina of Time" was a tough act to follow). Ditto "Super Mario Sunshine", which had to follow superb "Super Mario 64". Though Nintendo's mascot's… read full review »

the nintendo gamecube is a great invention. our family has enjoyed the gamecube for atleast a year now and still play it quite often. we don't have alot of games but they continue to be fun especially with new friends or cousins. — — the nintendo gamecube is nintendo's fourth home video game console and is part ot the sixth generation era. the hardware system is the most compact, and second-least expensive after sega's dreamcast, of the sixth generation era consoles. it is the successor to the nintendo 64 and the predecessor of the wii. — — — — — — — — —… read full review »

I've seen alot of people bash the gamecube before, but really It's one of my favorite systems.  now i haven't really touched my gamecube since I got the X-box 360, but for it's time I'd say it was top notch, its small and portable, the games are great. and at most gaming stores you can get a used one ingreat condition for only 25 dollars (better than the 600 dollars for a PS3) Alot of people say it's mainly for kids, but I think it's great for anyone of any… read full review »

I own one of these Gamecube and it sucks. it okay for kids but for teens and adults it stinks. the game maker like ea sports and other producers of games olny make kiddy games for gamecube. the latest shooter game that was made for gamecube was two plus years ago. they olny have a few games for adults and teens. then if you find a game you like and play it for more than two hours it over heats and shut down and all the memory it deleted that you just did.… read full review »

They don't make products like they used to; I've been through 3 Gamecubes in 6 years. With that being said, I originally purchased this for my then 4 year old son. I felt there were more "family friendly" games for this console than any other. — — My son loves this! He is a gamer and with the money spent, he does get very good use out of this. Many different games to choose from and they do offer a lot of the popular games as well.… read full review »

I would like to encourage you to buy a Nintendo Gamecube. It has great graphics, control, and you will find your self playing it for hours on end. It has very good Zelda and Mario Bros. games. If you are a person that loves playing games (and a bit old fashioned) then the Nintendo Gamecube is the console for you. —… read full review »

My daughter has the gamecube, she likes it but its hard to find games that she likes. Most stores carry barely any games anymore due to the other high end video consoles. We would love to see some vintage games like the original Donkey Kong and Mario. Some of the games are also very hard for her to follow. Otherwise the system is pretty… read full review »
