So, they came out with yet another version of the Nintendo DS. First came the DS, then the DS Lite, and now, drum-roll please, we have the DSi. Your question is: "Is it worth it?" The simple answer is Yes, mostly.

The "Yes" part is simple to explain: better graphic resolution due to the larger screens,...

I do love my Nintendo DSi, I really do, but the thing is, I feel like I've wasted some money.

There are many new features that have been added to the DSi that are supposed to make it "superior" to the Nintendo DS.  One of the features a sound mixer, where you can record your voice and manipulate it...

My older son reserved the Nintendo Dsi game and so I decided that I wanted to get it for myself as well.  We purchased it at gamestop, who had a big event and said that we could come the night before at 12am and get it, that part wasn't for me (smile).  We did however go on the Sunday and pick them up.  They are great fun.  I purchased the matte blue one for myself and the boys got the black one.  I love gadgets, so I of course started playing with it.  My son downloaded some demos for me from his wii game system and we had so much fun.  I can go on the internet with it, I downloaded games,...

The DSi is a total upgrade from the DS Lite. Not only can you go on-line but you can take and create funny pictures. This game console can be an mp3 player as well after adding music onto your SD memory card. The speaker produce very clear sounds and playing video games is much more entertaining on the DSi because the of the clearer image and sounds. The DSi sound feature is fun for adults and kids too because you can mimic the voice you recorded. The only con of this console for me is the small screen. Surfing the web on this console can be limited due to memory and web applications on certain...

I already own a DS Lite, so why would I need another?  While the DSi is 75% similar to the DS Lite, that 25% is worth the upgrade.

First off, what's offered right off the bat in terms of updates/changes/perks is good enough to justify another $170.  It's got 2 cameras, with a pretty good quality for being a non-essential integrated feature.  The screens are a bit beefier than the DS Lite, better button configuration, better microphone support, and probably the best news is that the wifi connectivity is updated.  You can now use better encryption methods, and most importantly access the new...

I was a bit skeptical about the nintendo dsi, not sure if it was worth the price tag to buy it so soon after its release. My wife talked me into purchasing one for her. There are some improvements from the ds lite. The screens are slightly larger. Pictochat now uses color. You can access the internet via the built in wifi connection. Granted, its not the best internet connection. One thing I do wish they had is more colors besides the black and blue. Probably down the road they will, but for now that doesn't leave you with much to choose from right now. Another thing, is that there is no slot...

my spouse and i ordered 2 dsi hand held games for our 2 boys that are 12 and 7. i am so impressed i can't seem to give it back to the kids and i'm a 33 yr old mom. it 's graphics are so much clearer than the ds lite. it also has 2 cameras on it. one is to take pics from the screen and the other camera reverses in case you want to takes pics of you or your friends. the dsi has and amazing photo shop type of program that you or you kids can easily manipulate the pics u take. i like to take pics of all the family members and give them cartoon eyes or add little cute facial features that are alien...

                                 THE NINTENDO DSI

I love the new Nintendo DSI it has many breathtaking features such as two cameras on the inside and out, download-ablegames photo and audio manipulation programs, bigger screens, and better wi-fi connection with the DSI store which has numerous games you can redeem with points. The only parts I did not like about it is that the internet is a little slow and the DSI shop games are very poor. I definately reccomend this product to everyone who likes to have fun. There are many fun things you can do with it. I ...

This is a great game console.  I had bought the original Nintendo DS many years ago and was too happy to upgrade.  I love that you can take pictures and browse the internet.  You can also listen to music on it.  One of the great things is that your kids can play with it also. If you have more than one kid and more than one DSi they can play against each other. They have recently come out with games for younger kids.  Its loads of fun and a million different kind of games will keep you and the kids busy for hours.  Also great for road trips.

I purchased the Nintendo DSi for myself, a 51 year old woman. I do not play computer games very often but I thought this would be fun. I like the camera feature, my grandson showed me how it works and it is a lot of fun. I purchased some games and I have been using it almost every day! The back light is good (I do not have it up to full brightness to save the battery) and the sound is clear. I do have some trouble at times having it correctly register the number or letter I wrote, but that is not often. Is great for kids and adults alike! I love the color choices, too!

I love the Nintendo DSi.  I was able to get the matte blue console, which is apparently only avalible in North America.  I am so happy with it and love all the new things to do with it.  Takes a little time to get used to, but it is really exciting!!!

The new nintendo dsi is a wonderful gaming device. My seven year old son got this last summer and really enjoys it. He loves taking pictures as well as making his own songs and enjoying all of the new features. I do think it is worth the money and a lot of fun.
