Since I'd heard about Nintendo DS hitting the market, my interest built and built until I was desperate to find out what all the hype was all about. At the holidays, my cash flow was dwindling, so I was absolutely ecstatic to find that I got one for Christmas, along with a collection of several games. It didn't take long before I was an absolute addict.

Nintendo has a stunning collection of DS video games to please kiddies and casual players to hardcore gamers. From cuddly, rather realistic pet care to swinging, bad guy-bashing crime fighters to teaching yourself to cook, if you can't find it,...

The Nintendo DS is my favorite toy.  But this toy is not just for little gamers, there are plenty of games that adults enjoy too, there are trivia, sodoku, crosswords, tetris and all manner of interesting games with the more mature gamer in mind.  Not every game has to be about blowing the brains out of space aliens.  I most enjoy the ones that are more puzzle like and require some thought rather than just quick, non-arthritic fingers to blast aliens as quickly as possible.

The Nintendo sells for about $100-$125 and I believe they have recently come out with a DSi which has something to do with...

The Nintendo DS or Dual Screen is a portable hand-held gaming system that is prefect for users in all age groups from 4 and up. It comes equiped for internet gaming access or stand-alone single player gaming and also links wirelessly to other DS systems for head-to-head play. The dual screens are backlit and work in almost any lighting except for bright outdoor sunlight. There is an extensive library of games already on the market - more than 500 games and growing. Games come in a variety of genres including: action, adventure, platform games like Mario and Sonic, puzzle games, card games, pet...

The nintendo DS is the greatest handheld game I have ever played. It is great because you can play Nintendo DS and Game Boy Advance games on the same system. The DS is lightweight and compact. The DS has a touchscreen on the bottom and a stylus so that you don't have to use the regular buttons like the original Nintendo handheld games. The DS has a lot of different types of games because you can play both DS and GBA games in it. They have everything from role-playing games to fighting and first person shooter games. I actually own two of these systems so that my fiancee and I can both play a game...

Nintendo has reestablished themselves in the world of online gaming by producing the nintendo ds lite, now simply called the nintendo ds.

Much like the iMac reinvigorated a dying Apple, the loveable playstyle of the wii and ds have brought Nintendo back in the mix, and given users a reason to game.

My favorite aspect of the DS system is the game selection. There are plenty of advantages to owning a DS over a PSP (touch screen, affordability, etc.) but the games available for the DS, and the fun of using the stylus on the touch screen make it a real winner for me.

Operate on patients with your...

I received the Nintendo DS, special edition, as a gift. I'm not terribly into video games or anything like that and I was impressed and excited to play. In the special edition pack I also got a cooking game that has recipes and walks you through how to make certain dishes. I wasn't all that impressed with that game. It has a lot of simple dishes that you would already know how to make if you had spent any time in a kitchen. My favorite games are the "party" type games. Their short and not terribly difficult but you can play them over and over. It doesn't get old and you can reset it and try to...

I love my DS, it is the funnest handheld portable game console I've ever had.  It was a birthday gift and I only have a few games, but the games are usually not too expensive to buy-sure the new games are around $50 each, but you can find lots of older games on sale for as low as $10.  It's the perfect size and shape to make it easy to use and take everywhere.  My daughter loves it too-I have a kindergarten themed game that helps her learn her numbers, letters, colors and shapes and she is nearly addicted to it (the addicted part is not so good) I limit her time on it, and offer more time as...

This review is for the Nintendo DS portable game system. This game system was purchased for our children by their grandpartents for their birthdays. When I heard that they were getting portable video game systems I was really dreading it. You parents know how many sets of batteries those things can go through very quickly, thats why my kids had not gotten a portable game system sooner. Well I have to say I was very pleasantly surprised -- it is rechargable!! Not only is it rechargable but, the battery life is very long. The kids can play for days before having to recharge their systems. The game cartridges...

Please do not get me wrong, I love my Nintendo DS, it's just that the game selection has become horrible.

It does have some amazing titles: New Super Mario Bros., Mario Kart, Pokemon, Final Fantasy 3 and 4.....but to get to these good titles, one must either know ahead of time what they want or be prepared to sift through hundreds (yes, hundreds) of horrible shovel ware titles, mini games, flash games you can play for free on a PC or at a fraction of the cost and more baby and pet games than you can imagine. By Baby Games I mean games where you take care of an infant.

I am so daunted by the...

I love my DS! I got it as a gift for christmas and I been playing it ever since. Its great for traveling when I am on the airplane I know that I will never get bored. I can play the DS for hours and will never get tired. The DS is easy to use even my mom play it! The DS has lots of games from puzzle to action to adventure. I am addicted to all the games I have on my DS. Brain Age is one of the best game in the DS. I can honestly say playing that game boost my memory and I can do math faster than I can before. The DS is cheap affordable and its not like anyother game console. This DS can help you...

We currently have 1 Nintendo DS in our house, we have two boys one seven years old and the other is ten.  This is the one game system that they both fight over on a continual basis.  They both love to play the games and  the interaction that the game system provides is like no other system that they have had in the past.  I love the variety of games that the Nintendo DS offers for them.  They have anything and everything in game variety including animal care to music.  We have never had any trobule with our system, they have had it just over two years now, and nothing broken or missing. ...

We own 2 Nintendo dual screen (DS) gaming systems in our home. One is my 11 year old son's and the other is for my husband and I. Our family loves the DS because there are so many affordable game options for every taste and genre. I like it because as a homeschooling mom I can give my son some useful video game time by having him play brain age or big brain academy. My husband likes to play it in bed at night when I am reading a book. It is great for long car trips because it lights up so it can be played in the dark. It is pretty durable too. Ours have been dropped a couple of times and not broken....

My son bought me a red/black one and I just can not put it down. He got me 5 games for it and I am hooked! I would say buy one for everyone on your list. It comes in a great many colors and has more games than any one person could ever play in one lifetime. Each one I've seen is great and the grafics are great. Almost on level with PS3. The games are very affordable and there is something for everyone. From 1 to 4 players and added fun with the Wi-Fi connection. With that you can play with people all across the world.

My family really enjoy the DS. On family trips, at the doctors office, waiting in line it is so useful. It keeps the kids very busy. There are so many educational games to keep the mind active. There is a camera on it, so pictures can be taken. The kids can play Ds to Ds with only one game. It is worth the one hundred and sixty dollars. I was not sure about spending that kind of money, but its well worth it. There are used games at Game Stop that can be bought. These games work fine.
