Alright, baby! The famous Nintendo cash cow the Legend of Zelda finally makes the big jump to the DS here in this Phantom Hourglass game and it just so happens to be the sequel to the Gamecube title: The Wind Waker. Yeah, if you are usually looking for a huge quest to save some stupid chick you can't go wrong with a Zelda game (upset those abysmal CDi titles of course) but let's see if the new touch screen controls and smaller dungeons hurt this edition, eh? — — After the events of The Wind Waker the young hero dude of the last game (Link) in on a grand voyage with Tetra… read full review »

In The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass, Link is sailing away with his friend Tetra when they discover a portion of the ocean covered with thick fog. As they enter it, they come across a ghost ship. Tetra decides to board it to explore, but she disappears and Link falls in the water when attempting to rescue her, only to wash up on shore of a strange island, awakened by a fairy. For there on, Link's quest is to find the missing girl, aided by fairies with different powers. — The game is entirely controlled via the touch sceen with the stylus, and in some cases, the microphone. Talking… read full review »

I love all the mini games in this version of Zelda. You can keep playing after you conquer the final "Boss" and save Tetra. There are a ton of things to discover. I love the fact that there is a battle mode that allows you to connect with other players for a different experience. The only problem is that some people are sore losers and drop out as soon as you start to win. I wish there was a way to keep people from jumping… read full review »

I have been a big fan of the Zelda games for a long time now. Wind Waker for the Gamecube was a bit of a departure for me and I liked it fine, but it never really seemed right. When they announced that they were making a new Zelda game for the DS I was intrigued, but a little worried that it was going to be a sequel to Wind Waker. — — Turns out I had no reason to worry at all. — — The DS was made for a game like Phantom Hourglass. You can play the entire game with only the stylus, and it is used in innovative ways. A large number of the accessories that you can find… read full review »

The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass is one of the best DS games to date. Being a Zelda fan, this game did not dissapoint. In fact it was 10 times better than I ever thought it was going to be. It was filled with exciting game play, mixed with many differnt puzzles and it uses the DS touch screen perfectly. By drawing your path on a map for you ship to follow, or throwing your boomerang, the touch screen works flawlessly with this game. Many DS games have not taken full advantage of the touch screens ability, this game however uses it perfectly and provides hours and hours of entertainment!… read full review »

This game is the best one yet. The only thing bad that I can really say would be that you try to make it harder than it is. I went to the walkthrough 3 times and wanted to kick myself for not thinking of something that simple. The dungeons are way harder tht the bosses. The mail man is the cutest thing ever. I think that the fact that you can make notes for yourself on the maps for later is the best thing about the game. It makes it easier for you to know where you need to go back to later in the game.… read full review »

Fun game but hard fighting the ememies. Unusual techniques are needed to fight like blowing into speaker to blow away fire monsters and such. stylus is easy to lose. A nice case and extra stylus are a must. Be careful opening and closing the DS unit. I hear it cracks at the hinges. Running around the dungeons without a guide may be hard. I had to backtrack to locate a missing key to move on to the next… read full review »

I am not a Zelda fan. I have never played a Zelda game before trying it for the DS. For those of you who have never tried a Zelda game before, I absolutely recommend this game. It is amazing. By far the best game I have played on the DS to date. Even if you are not a Zelda fan, you will throughly enjoy this game. The touchscreen is used in very unique ways. JUST. BUY.… read full review »

This game is great for anyone who loves the Zelda series, enjoyed Windwaker and wants to hear more of Link and Tetra's story. It takes a few minutes to get used to the DS controls, but once you get the hang of it, the game plays smoothly and is very enjoyable. Be prepared to think outside the box for solving some of the puzzles using your DS machine! —… read full review »
