So maybe I'm not the typical DS user. I'm a law student, frequent traveler, married, and, as you can see, far removed from the typical age group or purchasing power that the DS normally sees (in that while my nephew and nieces can't buy games on a whim, I can! :D). I'm one of those "has to have the latest gadgets" people and I couldn't resist the DS. While I can't take my Wii or 360 anywhere, I can bring this as a backup for when I know I'll be waiting for a plane, waiting for class to begin, waiting for a friend. Very useful in that aspect. My husband borrowed mine overly often (he travels during the work-week) so I ended up buying one for him too. Battery power is great, and I love the starter kit that comes in the Lego Star Wars lunchbox (to match my favorite game on any platform!). My only complaint is that the games are pretty limited towards us old folks... because I know I'm not the only one out there who had to have one in the 20-something range.
