Everytime I let my friends enjoy my DS...they want to immediatlly go and get one for themselves.

The system has great, innovative games that young and old can enjoy. Like the Wii, it's easy "pick up and play" nature appeals to gamers and non.

My family all enjoy the "Brain Training" type games as well as anything Mario. (Kart, Party, Mini...)

BUT the coolest thing about the system is the ability to play games with your DS friends even if they DON'T have the game. This feature is only on the games that specify it. Let me illustrate with the games I enjoy:

Tetris: If you have the game, 9 other friends who don't can still play with you via Wi-Fi "download play." Imagine 10 people battling it out adding distorted lines to others. Fun stuff.

Mario Kart: Race/Battle against 7 other friends...then convince them to buy the game

Big Brain Academy (My favorite): Battle with your wits in this "speed and accuracy" brawl. Race up to 7 others to get the right answer the fastest. More points are awarded to whoever gets the correct answer the fastest...but beware minus points for incorrect ones. 5 caterogies, 15 mini games.  One minute per mini game with questions that get progressively harder. Be Warned : Situations may become competitive and addicting.

Mario Party DS: Classic star battling, mini game dominating fun. Battle up to 3 other friends in this surprisingly deep title. (Most popular...probably because it's Mario...and probably because it's new.

These are just a few examples. So what's the Pro to actually getting the game when your friend has one? Well each title here has a super fantastic single player experience AND the ability to play with more maps/avatars/profile etc. that are on you game.

Get a DS and have fun.
