I will be the first to admit I am NOT a camera gooru. I wanted a camera that would take quick pictures and capture everything, even a blink. This camera has met my expectations and then some. I just wish I had a tutorial that showed me exactly how to use each and every setting on the camera. The manual does show some examples. Maybe I just need to take a class on the camera. For the most part I just choose the setting for portrait or indoor/party or snow or sun when taking pictures outside or inside. All in all I do LOVE my camera and cannot wait for the weather to get nice again so that I can be outside taking pictures of everything!! I would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting a great point and shoot camera.

I received this camera from myself just this last weekend as an early birthday present from a husband who hasn't had the time away from work (we live in a ridiculously small town) to do the shopping himself. I'd done a lot of research on cameras. I wanted something small enough for my purse, with a decent zoom. This camera is the best out there for those two qualities! In fact, it has the best zoom for it's size on the market! I had to have it! As an amateur photographer, I've always got a camera with me, but wanted something more portable for those can't miss shots of my kids, and something to haul around on family vacations! I love this camera! It's got some amazing new features for such an affordable compact point and shoot camera! It's unbelievable! The night time features of this camera are exceptional! We used the camera this morning to take pictures of the kids decorating the Christmas tree. This camera takes 3 photos simultaneously to expose the subject in the picture(the kids) as well as the background (the christmas lights) and then layers them together to make the perfect photo! And that's just the beginning of what this camera can do! 1cm macro,You can't go wrong with this new gem! LOVE IT! My only complaint is the flash location, but I can't get used to that!

I purchased this camera last week because I am going to be living in London from Jan. to June and I plan to travel Europe while I am there. This camera was not my first choice(a Canon) however after looking at several different cameras at 5 different stores I decided to go with this one. The pictures are great and the cameras battery life is better than expected(my old sony used AA which lasted maybe 30 pictures) in fact the battery lasted more than 3 hours. My younger brother is a proffesional photographer and I sent him some pictures telling him I took them on a point & shoot and he did not believe me. He constantly carrying bags of camera equiptment around everywhere he goes(yes even parties) and we both feel this camera produces almost the same quality as his Nikon slr which he has over 4k invested in. I love everything about this camera except the styling. I wanted a canon because they look really sexy but the picture quality is far superior than any of the Canons I tested so the eighty's styling is something I will live with cause everything else is great!!!!!
