technically savvy, willing to pay for quality, a gadget geek, an amateur photographer, Picky about pictures, attached to my camera, gadget geek, married, with pets
After a series of disappointing experiences with mid range digital cameras over the past ten years, I took the plunge and bought the camera I would have always wanted if i could have afforded it -- now that the price is low enough for me to afford it! The Nikon D80 is generations ahead of any digital camera I (or anyone I know) has ever used. What is most surprising of all is that all the tweaks and settings that my other cameras had are on this camera as well (plus more) , but on the D80 they are laid out so logically that I can actually use them! So, I can change the ISO…

family's manager of memories, willing to pay for quality, an amateur photographer, Every day computer user, loving my digital camera, married, with pets, practical
My husband is the official camera nut in the family but after getting Nikon digitals for my son and grandson, I decided it was my turn. I didn't really care about the brand but my husband said I could use his arsenal of lenses so that sounded good to me. I love the D80 even though it will probably be years before I know everything it can do. But even as a point and shoot for an amateur, the results are amazing. I even took some close up shots of flowers and tree resin and was amazed at the color and clarity. I'm still taking baby steps and using automatic…

loving my digital camera, somewhat tech savvy
I just got this at Christmas and fell in love completely. I have had other digital cameras but no SLR like this one. You can do so much with it, although I am still learning about it. It is like Christmas all over again when I find a new trick to do with it. I definitely recommend this camera. Its not lightweight like the small digitals but it is soooooo much better. Any average person can put it on Auto and take wonderful…

practical, willing to pay for quality, a gadget geek, gadget geek, intermediate-user, loving my digital camera, Every day computer user
If you want to take great pictures even in low light, you have to get this lens. This lens also comes in F1.4. You will need this lens if you take portraits, or if you want to produce professional quality pictures. The zoom lens is good as a universal lens. As soon as you go serious about using this Nikon D80 and all it's features, you will definitely need this lens. — — The one I got over the internet is a Nikkor 50MM/F1.8 —…

loving my digital camera, a music lover, parent of two, mac-user, creative, allergic to the kitchen
If you need a new digital camera, look no further. This is the best thing since sliced bread! You simply point and shoot. It doesn't take a bad picture! The battery charges and stays charged. You can manipulate the pictures before you download them to your printer or computer. You can zoom, get rid of red eye, and more! This camera is expensive, but worth the money. — If you need a camera, buy this one! —…

willing to pay for quality, very happy with this product, a frequent traveler
I love this camera, and the quality has been great for both personal pictures and publishable professional shots. It takes some getting used to, and users may want to carry the manual on the first few shoots, as some menus are not terribly…
