This wasn't my first digital camera but the first time I ownes a Nikon. This was given to me as a gift and I know little about cameras. The instruction book was easy to understand and I had no problem setting the camera up. I was amazed hoe great the pictures turned out. It has sharp colors and picked up on the details of the object or objects you are taking. I took lots of pictures of my grandchildren during their sporting events and they were as clear as could be. I love the different settings. There is one for children or one for action. I also used it at the races. Every picture was clear. There wasn't any shadows from the pictures. There are a dozen different settings for it. It is wonderful. My husband wasn't taking clear pictures so I set it on auto he had no problem after that. I would advise anyone to get this camera. The auto is great for the beginners until you get to know your camera and get to play around with it. You can take all kinds of crazy pictures and delete them if they aren't what you want. It came with a small tripod. I was surprised how well the moon turned out. I set in on the tripod and used the timer to snap pictures. The moon that night was sitting next to Venus. These pictures were the neatest things I have seen in a long tiem. I also never thought my town had a beautiful sunset until I downloaded the pictures. I highly recommend the Nikon camera.
