Nikon - D40 Digital Camera Review

For the price I paid for this Nikon D40 Digital SLR Camera, I am for the most part...satisfied.  I paid under $500 for the camera figuring I am an amutuer photographer.  I did not want to jump right into the most expensive one I could find.  I liked that if I like it I could always get new lenses then in return if I decided to get another camera (I would get another Nikon) I could use those lenses for the new camera as well.  I have found that it is quite easy to use and I really like the options it has....although I have recently become interested in HDR photography and that is the one thing the D40 does not have is the HDR function.  Other than that it is a great camera for the budding photographer.

I am very impressed witht he quality of photos I am now able to take...and most have been taken with out the automatic feature...thanks to the somewhat helpful book it came with as well as some advice from my brother.  All in all I am really happy with my decision to purchae the Nikon D40.
