Even if you are not a professional photographer, your pictures will looks just as amazing as if you were by using this camera. It has several different settings including auto which helps the novice take professional looking pictures whether in daylight or night, sporting event or still. It has so many different functions that it is difficult to navigate through all of them, but it's a learning process and a getting to know your camera process. But this definitely does not stop you from being able to just use it out of the box once it is fully charged. Image Quality The crystal clear picrures are breathtaking. You'll be amazing at how clear and how bright your pictures are when using this camera. And being able to switch modes depending on the light or situation really does effect your picture quality. Performance I have never had a problem with the performance of this camera. It has worked perfectly since the day I bought it and if was just a matter of reading the manual online to be able to learn how to use all of it's functions to get the best pictures. Ease of Use You really can just take the camera out of the box and begin to snap and shoot with just the knob for modes and the shutter. However, if you want to be able to use your camera with all of it's functions then you have to invest sometime in reading the manual. You won't be disappointed because it could affect your pictures quality but it does take time and effort to learn all the functions the camera has to offer. But you won't be disappointed!! Durability As long as you take care of your camera and keep it in a camera bag, it will be protected and will last a long time. When not in the bag, you should use the strap around your neck to so that it doesn't get lost or hit by anything. Battery Life It uses a lithium ion battery that works for many hours. I have probably got a good two days use out of the battery life and then I just use the charger that it comes with to recharge the battery. Portability It's easy to transport as long as you have a camera case or strap but it is a big camera and if does weigh a couple of pounds. However, that's expected with a dlsr camera and not unusual.

The Bottom Line: Ask me how great I think this Nikon D3200 is, and I will tell you that it is to date THE BEST DSLR I have ever used (until I decide to buy the subsequent D3300, which I have heard is also fantastic), and it is the cheapest DSLR I have ever bought. Incredible photos, fast response, super light, fun to use, Auto focus always spot on, great colors and contrast, the list goes on. If you are looking for all of this, then this is the one! Image Quality With 24 Megapixels, this is way more megapixels than anyone will ever use. The problem with so many MPs, is that you will get mega large files, which in turn will takes loads of space on your computer and will take forever to upload. I usually set the quality to JPEG Normal, or Fine if I think I will need the extra quality, but in all honesty, even at 6PM you can print mega large prints without losing detail. So 24 MP is great, but that is not what makes the camera great. The processor and the lens will also have a lot to do with the quality of your photos. This D3200 produces AMAZING quality photos, and is able to give you perfect white balance, contrast and color right out of the box. In low light condition, hand held, and at a high ISO, photos still come out looking sharp as can be. The D3200's huge 3 inch LCD screen is bright, sharp, and what you see is what you get. Performance I love the D3200's Autofocus function: it is fast, silent and accurate. Even when set on its default setting at Auto-AF, it will focus fast and accurately. If for whatever reason you need to change the focus point (if you subject is off center for example), changing the focus point is very easily done. Another great feature is the D3200's Auto Distortion Correction, which you will be glad to have whenever you are shooting something with the lens at its widest (18mm). It makes that correction automatically as you shoot and no longer requires editing after the shot . To get this automatic as-you-shoot correction, which is on the OFF position as a default setting, you need to go Menu, then Shooting Menu, then Auto distortion control , where you can select ON. This camera is also very quiet, compared to other Nikons I have used, and at you get great exposure on its default settings, which makes this a fantastic cameras for beginners. In low light condition, the auto-focus still outperforms any camera I have ever used, and even at high ISO, you get great detail without getting the grainy look you usually get from using such settings. When using the flash, the exposure is always right on. I could go on and on about all of the great features that makes this camera such a great DSLR, but if you are a beginner or just want a camera that will give you great results every time, the above features are some of the most important ones. Ease of Use Even if you don't want to fool around with all of the different features, you can literally use this camera right out of the box, and even if you keep it on the Auto setting, you can start taking great photos right away. Portability I LOVE how light this camera is: about 455 grams make this DSLR the lightest I have ever used. I still remember my Nikon D100 weighing at about 700 grams, and it was a real pain to carry around. With the D3200, you will almost forget you have it because it feels so light, which is fantastic for traveling.

I learn something new about it every time I use it! I HIGHLY recommend this camera to everyone!! Image Quality I am amazed by the picture! They are so clear & so detailed! Performance I haven't been disappointed yet. Ease of Use They have several settings. You can personalize settings, or just use Auto. Durability I have 5 kids in my house, so I am happy with the durability. They love taking pictures & I'm not afraid to let them handle it. Battery Life I can shoot for hours, a few days in a row & not have to charge it. Best battery life. Portability I have a small camera bag that i can fit it in. I can also take off the lens to make sure it doesn't get scratched.

This camera is easy to use and takes great pictures. It is light weight, easy to hold and great for someone who wants more than a basic point and shoot. It works great on the automatic setting or you can use the scene modes for portraits, sports, close ups, kids, and sports. You can also set it so you control the shutter speed. The viewfinder or the screen can be used to take pictures. It also takes videos. I have two lenses. I find I use the 18-55mm most, but also like the 55-200mm. It does take time to change the lens so it might make sense to get one lens that is bigger ( however that would make it heavier and bulkier to carry). I took it to the beach and loved the fast shutter speed. I was able to catch seagulls flying, fish jumping without and blur. My sunset pictures are incredible! My only complaint is that the screen is hard to see in bright outdoor light ( probably true with most cameras). I have not had this camera long but so far I totally love it. My son, who has a much fancier camera, thought it felt good to hold and took pictures almost as good as his expensive camera. I would highly recommend it for someone that is interested in photography but does not want to spend a fortune! You will love it!!! Image Quality Very good pictures with auto modes and manual mode! Performance Performs well with auto flash. I use the Nikon 18-55mm lens more than the 55-200mm, but both perform well. Ease of Use Very easy to use, especially if you use the auto modes. I've always been extremely happy with Nikon products. I just bought the Nikon D3200 so I've only had around a week to use it but so far, I absolutely love it. Before this I had a Nikon D90 and was very happy with it but I wanted something with more megapixels. The pictures that this camera can take are stunning. As with all Nikon products I've owned or used, the buttons are basically self-explanatory and super simple understand. The battery life is great too. It is a little bit heavy but that's expected out of any good quality DSLR camera. It is lighter than my previous camera though and I love that it came in a different color besides black. The high definition video recording is incredible too. The camera captures all the little details in videos as it does in the photographs it takes. Overall, this is the best camera I've ever owned and I can't wait to use it more in the future.

This camera allows you to take photos similar to professional photographers without having to learn a lot about settings. We paired this camera with a Tamron all in one lens 17 - 220 zoom and we got immaculate pictures on a trip out west. For the beginner in DSL cameras, this is as close to point and shoot as you will get. Highly recommend this camera! Image Quality We took a lot of pictures on a 3 weeks trip, and it's amazing what this camera captures. Images remain clear and crisp blown up. Performance Took excellent pictures even through the window of the car. Ease of Use Settings are easy to figure out, allows for multiple shots for action pictures. Durability We carry it in a Nikon bag for protection Battery Life Rechargeable battery charges quickly. We did buy another battery just so we would have two. Portability It's a little bulky with the all in one Tamron lens we bought, but the picture quality makes it worth it.

Let me say one thing first, this is not the best DSLR out there. But, I will say it is fantastic for the price. As far as DSLRs go, this one is one of the cheapest I've found. The picture quality is great, but like I said, not the best. I think if you can afford to buy a nice lens, this camera will be perfect. It is certainly a great camera for beginner DSLR users. I would highly recommend this to a beginner. This was the first DSLR that I purchased, and I'm more than happy with it. NOTE: If you are interested in this as a camera for filmmaking, I will say that, as with a lot of DSLRs, the microphone quality is terrible and you will have to buy an external mic if you don't already have one. Image Quality This camera has 24 megapixels, so your pictures will come out clear as day. Ease of Use If you're a beginner, you will be confused at first, but that is the case with all dslr cameras. Battery Life Not the best, but not too bad. Portability Heavy, as with most DSLR cameras.
