Nikon - CoolPix Digital Camera —
I had this camera for about a year. I bought it in September of 2006. The camera itself wasn't bad. It took okay pictures. In October of 2007 (about 13 months later) I was using my camera and I went to go turn it off. It said lens error and the lens wouldn't go all the way back in. I was not impressed. I took it to Best Buy where I bought the camera from and they said they couldn't do anything because the 1 year warranty was up in September. I didn't purchase the extended warranty because I didn't anticipate the camera breaking that soon. So, I talked to Geek Squad at Best Buy and they let me know I would be better off buying a new camera because it would be too expensive to fix. Great, huh? Well needless to say, I would never buy this camera again. A digital camera isn't the largest purchase in the world, but they aren't cheap, either. And I would expect an expensive piece of equipment to last a little longer than a year.
