I bought this camera back in 2007 and it worked great for years. The only problem I had with it was that after about 4 1/2 years it just started taking black pictures, you could see through the lens but nothing would come over the screen, just a black screen. This happened without warning so it was an inconvenience at the time.

compact camera, yet for the price they are asking, it would be a better idea to purchase a cheaper camera with better picture quality. there are also not a lot of features to help refine the pictures you take!

I really liked this camera. It focuses well, records good quality video, and is easy to use. The buttons on it are pretty self-explanatory making it really easy to understand and use. The quality of the video is OK, but nothing like HD. The focus of the camera is good and the quality of the pictures are satisfactory, but the number of MP is probably not that high. Overall, it's a really good camera and is a good starter camera for someone who is just looking to record memories and what not.

After trying many cameras the past few months I have ended up with the Nikon  CoolPix 60.  It is a very very nice camera.  I tried four others before finding one that is able to do what I want it to do.  The pics come out nice and clear every time I use it.  I have been taking the camera out while I coon hunt.  Pics in the dark of night time come out clear as day.  Colors are true and vivid.  I especially like the way the camera will lock on to the face of my subject.  I also like the Macro setting for taking close up pics of small things.  It is good for taking pics of animals from earth worms to butterflies.  I have been able to take some nice pics of the snakes in the woods.  I also like the feature where you can cut off the flash.  This makes for some nice shots, gives you a pic with out the blare of the flash.  If you have not tried this setting, you should.  The camera comes in a stylish color also.  I like this, it makes it easy for me to keep up with my camera!  Also the stylus lets you add tags straight to the pic. Way cool!!!!   Love the Nikon CoolPix camera!!!!

I bought the Nikon Coolpix S6 back in 2006 and this thing is still going strong and taking great pictures, with the only problem being the battery not lasting the whole day anymore if used heavily. I am not a frequent picture taker so i've primarily used this for vacations and holidays. Some highlights of this camer is the nice form factor and compact size. One of my favorite features is how quickly I can view all the pictures taken when playing them back. The turn wheel really allows you to flip through all your pictures to find the one you want to share. I find this attribute difficult to find even on newer cameras. On my friend's cameras i'll get stuck holding the arrow button down, slowly trying to get to the picture I want to see. I believe the megapixles are still adequte for the average user despite how old it is but, he optical zoom is a little weak at 3x. The only reason I see myself upgrading to a newer camera would be to opt for a rugged/waterproof one.

It is only 97 (w) x 60 (h) x 22 (d) and only weighs 145 grams.  Its got a high quality body, aluminum front panel and altered wave shape.  It gives a balance between technology, easy usage, compatibility, and style.  Its high quality pictures, stylish looks, and simple technology make it a great camera for any one.  The price is a bit high, but it is woth it.
