I was given the Nikon CoolPix digital camera for Christmas in 2008.  My previous camera was a Olympus, which I loved as well.  The Olympus was big and bulky and I missed out on a lot of moments with my daughter because the camera was too bulky to carry around.  But then I received the CoolPix and it goes everywhere with me.  The camera is lightweight and compact and fits right into my back pocket. Now I don't miss a thing with my daughter.  The CoolPix comes in a variety of colors so you are not stuck with either black or silver. The LCD display screen is huge and the clarity is incredible.  This camera does not have a viewfinder which is how I think they can make it so compact.  It has many features and different scene settings and has 4 different flash options with one being a red-eye reducer. And it takes great videos.  It also has a rechargeable battery. The only thing I did not like about it is it did not come with a case.  I have to be very careful with it since the display screen is so big, I'm scared I'm going to damage it.

I bought the Nikon Coolpix for its size and weight. The rechargable battery was a strong selling point too. The thought of not having to buy numerous batteries was appealing. The camera was fairly easy to use but we could never get it to take good indoor pictures. Outdoor pictures were great, sharp, bright. Indoor pictures were dark - we never could get a good balance of light. They also had no sharp definition. Action shots were almost impossible because the speed of the camera taking the picture after the button was pushed was in my opinion delayed. I had to anticipate action taking place and push the button at least a second or two in advance so I could get the picture. I write all of this opinion in past tense because as of this past weekend the camera stopped working completely. I took a picture and then it shut off with the lens completed extended and open. I thought it was the battery but after a fully charged battery was placed in the camera, the result was nothing. The lens will not retract or close. In reading other reviews of this camera I've learned that this is not an uncommon occurence. I've also read that Nikon will tend to say that the reason for the malfunction is that the customer has dropped the camera. There is truth in that I have dropped the camera, but not repeatedly and not to an extent that I think would cause a camera to stop working. Needless to say I will not be buying another Nikon to replace this one.

This camera is a nice little point and shoot camera. With the high Mega Pixels, it turns out great quality photos. This camera is easy to use which is a plus. The zoom is nothing spectacular being just a standard zoom, but if you haven't gotten spoiled with the 10x or 12x zooms of some of the more expensive digital cameras, this works just fine. If you're taking pictures of moving objects, you do have to still and careful so that your photos won't turn out blurry. If you'll be shooting a lot of action shots, you may want to try a different camera. I like the fact that this camera is small. It can easily be slipped into your pocket to carry around with you wherever you go. Or you can carry it with the wrist strap for easy access when that unexpected photo opportunity pops up. Overall, this is a great little camera. If you want something easy to use and simple, this should work great for you and it will give you good quaility pictures.

I love the Nikon coolpix and I think that it is the best point and shoot camera out there. The quality is great of both the actual camera and the actual quality of the pictures. I love that they have different colors of this camera so you can make it a little bit customizable to your wants and needs. This camera is extremely easy to use which makes it a great camera for any user. I would recommend this camera to my best friend as well as to my grandma. It is definitely a high quality camera for a very reasonable price. I unfortunately lost this camera after I had it for several years and it is still devastating to me as this was the best point and shoot camera I have ever had. If you are looking for a great point and shoot camera you really cannot go wrong with this one. I also love the fact that it uses a rechargable battery that has a very long battery life. You can charge it whenever you need too and it lasts a very long time. I never had any issues with this camera.

I was so happy when i got this camera as a birthday present, that i start it using it right away. and to my surprise the zoom quality sucked. It would be blurry, and at times it would kinda freeze, i end it up returning it the next day! worst experience!

This was a cool camera, but it was slightly slow going from picture to album and that you would have to wait a few seconds. But if you're not in a hurry to look at the pictures, then this is the camera for you.

When I was looking to replace my digital camera I look at many types. I wanted one that would take quality pictures but not be to big an bulky to carry around on Vacation. The smaller ones are okay, but I really get into taken pictures and the smaller ones lack quality and special features. The Nikon P80 had everything that I wanted. It was bigger than my other digital camera, but still small and light enough for me not to mind caring around all day. It has excellent Zoom and also dose Video, which I learned to use at a concert without even reading the directions. As long as you have some knowledge of this product and its features, it really is pretty simple to figure out and the quality of the This camera is so easy that my 12 year old daughter can take great pictures and have them turn out great! My husband has the large digital camera and while he can take amazing photos, we have compared some of our photos from each camera and some of them are hard to tell which camera took the picture. So the quality is as good as his without being big and bulky. One of my favourite features is the taking pictures of things that are in motion. At live concerts, it will take 3 frames in a row, so you are guaranteed to have at least one frame being centered, or just what you wanted, since digital is a bit delayed this really comes in handy. For example, I was taking pictures of fast moving boats on the ocean and the only way to make sure I got one of the entire boat in the frame was to use the motion feature. I tiredit on the regular setting and the picture was not focus or only half of the boat was in the frame. With the motions feature, it was clear and the entire boat was in one of the frames that was saved on the digital disk. Photos are just amazing! I can go on forever as to how much I really love this camera!

**I've gotten the camara as a birthday gift. I take this camara everywhere I go. I have taken so many pictures with this camara and everyone that I took a picture of, looks at the pictures and says I really love your camara it takes good pictures. I have over a thousand of pictures that was taken with my camara. I have caught many many memerable picture that will last me a lifetime. I want to upgrade to the touch screen one. I've had this camara for about 2 yrs and it is still takin those good pictures. I want to give this camara to my daughter so she can enjoy it as much as I did. This Nikon Coolpix s210 is a very good gift to give to a child as a gift. They would have a great time taking pictures with there friends. I know my daughter will as soon as I give it to her. You can add videos and record sounds, that is also a great way to capture moments without anyone knowing. You can make very funny videos and add them to your website.**

I have got a nikon coolpix camera in may of 2009 i really do like the fact that you have different cool colors you can choose from. when i first got it it was really easy to figure out and use.// i like the how much zoom it has on it the  only thing about the zoom is that it is not has clear as the sony cameras. the nikon camera does have good features to it i like that you can lock photos so that way they dont get erased by accident. the camera does work really fast when you first get it but after awhile it tends to take pictures slowly and it doesnt capture the photos quick. one other thing that i dislike about the camera was that the letters on the button wear off real easily way to soon to my opinion. i like the fact that the battery is a reusable one. you can just take out the battery and stick it in the charger and the light will go off to let you know that it is finished charging. there is likes and some dislikes about this camera but overall it is worth the price.

I needed a camera that could go with me everywhere in my diaper bag.  I found it!  Having two young boys, something happens each day that I need my camera.  They grow up so fast and you want to capture every moment.  I love the fact that this camera is compact and easy to use.  I don't have to figure out what setting I need it to be in because it figures out that by itself.  It also doesn't have a long lag time between the time I push the button to the time the picture takes.  Kids don't stand still for a second and you will miss the picture if you don't act quick and this camera will allow you to do that.  I also love the fact that it has a video camera on it as well.  I have been able to capture some great moments like playing on the playground or singing happy birthday.  The only thing I don't like about the camera is that sometimes it spends so much time figuring out where the face is in the picture that it won't take the picture right away.  Otherwise, it is a GREAT Camera!
