Nikon - COOLPIX L12 digital camera —

Love my Nikon L12-comparing it to a few Kodak cameras I have owned in this same
price range it is much better !
People have commented that it eats Batteries-mine does not.
It can get more than 150 Pix on one charge
You can use just plain ol AA batteries but they do not last as long.
For Best battery life use a quality Digital Camera Battery-check the battery Exp. date.
I purchased this camera and batteries over a year ago on sale at Circuit CIty.
I'm stilll recharging and using the same batteries-SO IT PAYS YOU in the long run to
invest a bit more, get Digitial Camera Batteries and a charger.
You will SAVE MONEY and have less battteries to harm the environment,

Thank you Bob, you are right I spoke more of the Batteries because I read a few negative comments in regard to batteries.
The Camera is very light weight, it will fit in a small shirt pocket. This little Nikon has easy to use Auto Mode-I call it idiot proof.
I use both the Auto mode and special settings of my own. There are many options. The L12 can do Macro shots too. It comes with a 512 MB Memory card which you can upgrade or change, has Vibration Reduction for crisp clear shots-even with slow speeds or Zoom feature.Auto Red Eye Reduction. The Video Sound is remarkable for this price range. It has a battery Level monitor right on the screen-which is a good viewing size-1 1/2 " x 2 inches ! No learning curve here-You can use the L12 without using the Owners Instruction booklet, but there are great tips there. My 82 yr old Mom had no problem using the easy to read buttons and features. She loves the "Shaky Palm" button. I use it for Real Estate photos and lots of email with the Nikon Picture Project Software.

Your review is more about your batteries than your camera, so tell me more about the camera. How heavy is it? What kind of memory does it use? Is it convenient to use? Do you use the camera on automatic only or are there settings you enjoy using? Was there a learning curve to figure out how to use it?

Glad to hear you enjoy your camera!
